Versebreaker Anthology, or how to wreak havoc in songs for fun and profit

So, my dear Followers…

Truth be told, I become all giddy whenever I say that. Now I can shake my fists at the heavens and scream “Look universe, I got followers, now weep and despair at my display of power!”.

Anyway, let’s inaugurate this frankly irregularly updated blog with a little announcement.

Horizon had written a wonderful story for the March Write-off, introducing almost offhandedly the concept of a Versebreaker, a pony with the specific job to break up the musical numbers that seem to plague Equestria’s productivity like a facebook clone under MDMA. His story was written in a peculiar format that made it unpalatable for Fimfiction as a stand-alone entry. This, combined with the enthusiastic reception it got, brought him to call for fics to create a little anthology wrapped around the concept of Versebreakers, a thing to which yours truly felt compelled to answer along with a few other way more talented producers of Pony-words.

The result can be found here [link] and, like any good anthology, it is a collection of pieces that vary wildly in approach, theme and tone, connected by a common thread and a lot of craft
My own story is “The Badge”, but I can only advise you to read everything in order as the curator has put some thought in the presentation and the sequence of the whole thing.
