    It's late

But my brain isn't quiet. I'm stoned out of my goddamn gourd. Don't worry, it is just my usual regimen of drugs. That's how I spent a lot of my time now. Wasted. Doesn't really help with the pain much, but makes it a bit more tolerable. All of my drugs cost over 5 grand a month. That's what it takes to keep me going. I'm in somewhat better shape because of all of it, and there's a few bright

    Cyborgification is potentially a-go

Finally found a doctor that didn't run screaming upon seeing my spine images and xrays. The team is coming together. Met with the neurosurgeon the other day, and he thinks I am an ideal candidate for augmentation. The transition is happening, I think. I still have to pass a psych evaluation and other steps, but I am closer now than ever. First I'll have the trial run; they'll sink electrodes into

I suppose it is time for an update

Been meaning to this, and I've become the King of Pro-Crasty Nation. I kept wanting to report, but there was nothing to report, no good news at all, so I just... didn't. Sorry. Went a bit silent on my end. It just sorta happened.

I finally got a lawyer willing to take up my case. After that, things started happening.

So... I was wondering, how many folks are reading When There Are No Other Fish in the Sea and what people thought of it so far.

It is going to be (relatively) shortish. It takes place after the timeline of The Chase. We'll be seeing the long term effects of some of the things that happened in The Chase.

it is however, a stand alone story and reading The Chase is not required.

It has a very different sort of writing feel, a strong sense of optimism and hope. It lacks darkness and it is not intended to be a dark piece, though there will be bleak moments of realisation, but I don't think those are the same as being dark. We will see a much happier Equestria... we will see the legacy of Twilight Sparkle and all of the Elements of Harmony.

And as a spoiler, we will be meeting a draconequus-fied Fluttershy.

There will be a lot of little details to find, notice, and discuss in the comments, I promise you that.

Well I wasn't reading it before, but I am now...

Enjoying it greatly.
I stalled on 'the chase' after spending a couple of weeks offline.
Gonna restart. This is an excellent light read.
Sometimes I'm not up to reading the heavy stuff.
Many thanks.

I don't think he's even seen a fearsome seagull yet.

There was the griffon..

I'm sorry but I kind of stopped reading your stories. Maybe one day I'll come back and finish up the chase-verse (or maybe hell will freeze over, which will probably happen long before I manage to get halfway through all of it and it's spinoffs if i start again) but until I do come back, I'm just waiting for 'to dance in shadow'.

I'm reading, but then I read everything you publish...

It's certainly interesting thus far. Definitely looking forward to seeing the few familiar faces that will still be alive, and how the others have left their legacies.

Beware the Pies... :pinkiecrazy:

I wasn't sure where it truly fit in until now, that was something that I was struggling with. I like context :P

I liked it so far, didnt read the last chapter yet, but im definitely a reader of it

Enjoying it so far.

Riptide is currently being a drama queen of ignorant innocence that I'm sure is going to be quite embarrassing once he gets adjusted. The irony he's a pegasus when on land and terrified of the open sky is delicious. :pinkiecrazy:

It has a very different sort of writing feel, a strong sense of optimism and hope.

Indeed...when Riptide first come out of the water my first though was "how much time ´till he starts to loose limbs" ?

And then Pie Family happened. And then there were joy, happiness and ice cream and...WHAT THE BUCK IS GOING ON HERE !? I DEMAND BLOOD AND GORE IN MY FICS !!!!

Oh, look, a bouncing earth pony...no more rage and dark thoughs suddenly...

Love it.

Hah, I told you this takes place a while after the main plot of The Chase.
I can't wait to see the legacy of the Mane Six and the Winter Tribe. And to meet familiar faces who are not dead yet.

Anything with some close-ups of Applejack?

So I've noticed you have a lot of mythical creature in your stories, like kelpies and wat not but have you thought about putting in some hippocampus?:derpytongue2:

Um, not a whole lot of differences between sea ponies, kelpies, and hippocampi.

2981506 I agree that there isn't a whole lot of difference between sea ponies and hippocampus but there is with kelpies

I'm enjoying it; though I hope there's some usage of seapony powers for fun and profit in the story. Because, y'know, reasons.

I read a lot of stories, but I'm drawn more to Applejack-centric ones. I love seeing how authors interpret her character and interactions.

In this story we encounter Applejack's memory.

I read it and I like the different view of the world in the Chase. Also glean more information about the world as well.
