I love it when the unplanned comes together · 12:36am Apr 8th, 2015
So I write one thing, and in that thing, I include a concept -- practically a throwaway line, certainly not the centerpiece of the thing.
Then I expand on that throwaway concept, make it its own full-size thing. And within that new thing, I have a small concept, not a big deal, not the point of the new thing.
And then I take that small concept and expand it into its own thing... and discover that it is actually the explanation for the first thing, and they all tie together, and the reason the first thing happened was embedded in a throwaway line.
And now I has a sad, because this is more future chapters of a thing I'm writing so I can't publish it yet because I haven't gotten there yet.
Huh. Mobius inspiration. Can't say I've ever encountered that in my own work. I'm jealous.
This happens to me all the time, and then it takes me forever to update and then I feel terrible about it. That, and I plan to write one evening and then up not doing it because of the brainpower involved. I don't know how people update so fast!
It's also why my chapters end up being humongous.
I feel comforted knowing I'm not the only one...
Are you going to show the dark side of harmony? Or are you talking about a different idea
Uh... What are you talking about?
