033 New story: Where Fillies Fear to Tread
How's everyone doing? I hope you're all great!
Between being busy and writing gloomy AUs it's sometimes good to get back to basics of what ponies are best at: making new friends. Coincidentally, that would also be a theme for The EFNW 2015 Pre-Con Contest, so I've decided to take one of my drafts and smooth it out a bit. Think of this light [Adventure] story rated E for Everyone as a fairy-tailish environment with busy Princess Celestia on a break and Trixie before she has become great and powerful - or rather when she was becoming just that. Are you brave enough to follow these two to a place Where Fillies Fear to Tread?

The world seen through the eyes of a child is a wondrous place. Princess Celestia is about to learn that the imagination of a young filly named Trixie has no bounds.

Thanks! My very first story, also written for a contest, was about Trixie as well, so what better way to participate in this challenge than to write more Trixie?

Anyway it is a nice sweet story! I wish it were longer though. It is pretty much a great length but I "Aww"ed when it ended.

The contest's upper limit is only 3k words so I couldn't make it much longer. It was actually quite tricky to write something of that length, and sadly there was no place for any surprising twists or more elaborated descriptions. Still, it was a nice writing challenge, perhaps of a different kind than usual.
