Leonard Nimoy (the actor who played Spock on Star Trek) died today. He was 83.
I always thought he was a rather interesting person, and I think a lot of us have a soft spot for Spock.
Prepare for an influx of Star Trek crossover fanfiction and hastily-written tributes. I've got nothing, other than to say that I always respected him. At least we still have Sulu.
Time to send him to Genesis and wait for the sequel.
Omg. now I'm pissed.
Seriously.
I saw this on a tech site this morning and I am sad to say my first though was "I wonder if they will let him go/give him a send off in a future Star Trek movie or try to CGI him in".
God fucking dammit
No!

Props to him for making it to 83, and for doing more than a lot of us do in that time. He lived long, and he prospered. Requiescat in pace.
Wow. I... wow.
The universe is composed of Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations. The man was unique he lived long and prospered and now lives in our memories.
