State of the Writer: May 2024!

    Didn't write nothing! clapping emoji!

My surgery was on the 22nd, and it went well, I'm still in recovery for technically the next week and a half or so, but as of this week I'm already feeling back to normal. Which I have to keep reminding myself I am not, lest I overdo something and hurt myself. <_< I am at least following the discharge instructions, so no worries about that.

    PP vs. What I've Become

Knight Breeze's What I've Become might not be a name you've heard before, but given its stats, especially the over 60,000 views, I feel safe calling it a fandom classic. :) Major spoilers ahead for a ten-year-old story!

Fic recs, May 20th: Project Get! #17!

Hey! :D Welcome back to Project Get!, where I sort my RIL by views and grab the last 10 on the list that aren't sequels, unfinished, or by the same author twice! I've been trying to do this a lot more frequently, but 'frequent' has not exactly described these blogs out of me, has it? D: I dunno if that could change in the near future. I've got outpatient surgery on Wednesday this week, so I'm

The only other thing relevant to this blog is that I've had notes for a vs. post sitting in my notes document for probably the entire month now, what is wrong with me? D:

The epic MLP season 2 post · 1:53pm Jul 4th, 2012

...Is on my LJ because it's formatted there. :B If you want to hear my opinions on season 2, click here.

Also, if you'd like to see the same thing (slightly messier) for season 1, that's here instead.

If you still have such an archaic thing as a Livejournal, feel free to subscribe to mine. I don't do much with it anymore, but what I do tends toward posting things like this. Also, writeups of the episodes when they air.

Livejournal? I thought that was wiped out by a meteor that struck the Yucatan penninsula some time back.

Wow. Someone else who still uses LJ? I thought I was the last.

Well... Maybe I'm wrong about my own preferences. I've been known to make mistakes. It may just be I don't know what it is I actually like. I should be more careful about that.

Dude, that song is more forgettable than Find a Pet.

First hating on Lesson Zero, and now slamming Find a Pet?

You wound me, sir :fluttercry:

It's amazing to me how much my opinions tend to run counter to the fandom's.

And not overall, just with the really popular stuff. :B Like I don't like This Day Aria either, and I know that's some people's favorite song from the season.

Ah, it happens to us all. I too, for instance, don't care much for This Day Aria, and I contrary to many, I love the MMMystery on the Friendship Express (mean-for-no-reason friends and all). And I do agree with you on a few points, especially in how good Hurricane Fluttershy and A Friend In Deed are. And yeah, ponies, for real: Luna's back. That holiday is a bit of a dick move now.

And Lesson Zero works for me, amongst many other reasons, because I feel the dual lessons is has are two of the most important on the show. Learn to relax sometimes and not take self-imposed deadlines so seriously and also treat your friend's problems with concern even if they mean nothing to you? Hells yes. That's gold for life right there.
