I wish I could guarantee a timely finish on Command Performance. In fact, I'm already behind, and I don't know if I can catch up. I'm not feeling all that great, and I'm also very sad. Usually the way I deal with being sad is by being funny. Funny is great, and Roger Rabbit's right when he says that sometimes it's the only weapon we have.
Then there eventually comes a day when the zing goes out of the bauble. Either I've tried to cheer up too many people or put it off for too long or a bunch of stuff happens too fast and somehow, nothing's really very funny anymore. I don't think I can manage a broad comedy chapter like the next one right now.
I don't know how soon I can be funny. It might not be very long, but I'd hoped to finish by January 6th and it just might not happen. I might try an essay or a review, or get back to my real-life work, which has gone begging for attention.
Sorry, folks. I'm sure the laugh engine will be running again soon enough.
We've all had days like that. Do whatever you need to cheer up, even if that just means waiting. Also, congrats on the three hectofollowers.
Sorry about those blues getting to you. I hope it passes soon.

You don't have to be funny all the time. I've seen you do other effects in your stories. You're a really good writer. And you don't need to write fanfic all the time -- much as I love your work.

2687501 299 now, but eh. It usually only takes a day or two to recover from that, and besides, if I'm failing to amuse or someone is somehow disappointed in or dislikes something I've said, they've got every right to un-follow, and I am cool with it.
