    Where I'm at now.

I couldn't tell you why I still have a FIMFiction tab open on my browser, and I can't even tell you the last time I clicked onto it. I think it's realistic that posting this is the last major activity I'll grant the site.

    Ten years today.

According to the info blurb beside my name, this is the ten-year anniversary of this account. And to think, this all started with me doing self-insert riffs on bad MLP fiction. And now I've got two finished stories under my belt, a crossover atrophying in a forgotten corner, and two other projects completely pony-unrelated I've finally put some words down for*. And also the last vestiges of my

    F/F/T3K19 THE SORTA FINAL

Last month's riff is complete. Enjoy.

This month, we're finally, finally finishing that riff of a riff we started god knows how long ago. We've spliced in a tiny Christmas story in there too.

    F/F/R3K19 11/8: Beginning of the end(-ish).

Last month's romp has been adequately stomped. Enjoy.

F/F/T3K19 10/4: When the pasta is creepy.

Alright, we didn't exactly intend to slow down quite this much quite yet, but that's how we're gonna roll now. Here's last month's riff.

Possible Chrysalis Saga additions? · 2:52am Dec 17th, 2014

I was sitting around, watching twow (who's been living with me for the last few months) play Kingdom Hearts II.5, talking to the author of yet another exceptionally unoriginal Transformers crossover (who'll actually probably be seeing this blog now that he's following me...). I was drawn back to my stories tab, to "The Redemption of Chrysalis" in particular, and looking through the comments for nostalgia's sake. A large amount of comments on the fourth page (in descending order) is a request to see my little series turn into a trilogy. My response has always fluctuated between "maybe" and "probably not" when talking about it.

The thing is... my school semester's over. I have the free time to ACTUALLY WRITE now. I have a good chunk of the next "Digital Harmony" chapter written, but unless I can poke Steel to dedicate some time to helping, that's likely gonna stagnate again, which I just feel awful about.

In the meantime, though... what if I DID continue the Chrysalis stories? What if I picked up around where "Twilight's Kingdom" left off and worked off the new status quo the show is setting up? What if I delved into Chrysalis and Chicane's roles following Twilight's full ascension to the position of princess of friendship?

The big thing stopping me, though, is that I have no goddamn clue where to go from where I left off. And anything I do, BECAUSE of where I left off, is going to be inherently intrusive to the show's canon, as Chrysalis wasn't canonically present for any events barring the wedding (or the comet, if you want to give IDW's comics a pass). As much as I loved how I developed Chrysalis into a more rounded character, and as much fun as I had building Chicane from scratch... there's really not a lot of significant conflict I can introduce. The only possible avenue would be regarding the other seventeen survivors, but I don't know if I have the energy to build a cast of changeling OC's from basically nothing.

Alternately - hell, maybe even additionally - I could dust off those abandoned one-shots/short stories I had in mind. The interquel showing Rainbow and Twilight making up, and a post-season 3 one-shot with the shiny new princess talking duties and royalty with the changeling queen. But I lost the motivation to write those when in one case, I couldn't write more than the beginning and end, and in the other, I could only get one fucking sentence. I still want to do SOMETHING writing-wise, and I want to expand on what I've done, but it won't get off the ground if I can't think of a story worth telling.

So this is the part where I crowdsource and reach out for ideas. If Chrysalis gets her third story, if I can expand this mini-'verse with side stories... what can I write about?

I'll have to reread them to get a good opinion. So I'll be back....

Whoa, wait a minute.

I thought my man twow was still in Ohio?

It wouldn't matter as long as we get more Chrysalis from you we happy.

Indeed, writing a sequel for the sake of it may not be a good idea. But if you get inspiration and new ideas for a sequel, I'm sure it will be great.

I support this 100%

Oh. This all happened while I was dead. Figures.

Story idea: Twilight's been going to her therapist to get the help she needs, but she's hit a bit of an impasse. Her therapist suggests that it's caused, unsurprisingly, by guilt from almost driving an entire race to extinction. In an attempt to keep moving forward with her life and to start making up what she'd done to the changelings, she offers to Chrysalis to help them build a new Hive. And what better place to build it than Ponyville, one of the most happy and loving towns in all of Equestria*?

*Also subject to stampedes, dragon attacks, bouts of chaos, out of control magic, parasprite infestations, and other general insanity. DO NOT consider moving to Ponyville unless you are willing to run for your life on a bi-weekly basis
