Chapter 10 Gonna Be Late · 1:52am Nov 27th, 2014
Hello, loyal readers. Sad to say, Chapter 10 of Twilight Falls, Sunset Dawns, is gonna be late. It's my last couple weeks of college and the stress of final assignments, not to mention just getting those assignments done, is leaving little room for writing. I do have some stuff down for the chapter, but in the writing of said stuff I've hit writer's block.
My intended plan for Sunset's side of the chapter has been scrapped due to the weight of what was going to happen going counter-productive to the intent for Chapter 11 to be the party I've been building up. Simply put, I realized "if this actually happened, I don't think Sunset and/or the Mane Five would be comfortable partying the next day". Twilight, I flat need to think of something for her to do. I have an idea, but haven't gotten to writing it out yet, and am not sure how much my idea can fill out the chapter.
So, between limited time, and admittedly, not being sure what to do with my characters before Chapter 11 and the final act of the story, the chapter is on hold. I'll try to get it out before Christmas, but at this point it's hard to say. I don't want to push through a rushed mess of filler and padding, if I publish a chapter, I want it to be a chapter that's worth your time to read. We'll see if I come up with anything.
The good news, after this I most certainly know where I'm going. I have been writing the last four or five chapters, plus the epilogue, for a couple of months now, and have at least a rough idea of what's going to happen in each of them. We are indeed looking at 14-16 chapters, plus a separate epilogue, and I'm doing my best to make sure they are awesome. Stay tuned for that in the new year, and on the unfortunate circumstance I don't get the new chapter out by then, may you all have a happy one.
