Cupcake Chronicles' Greatest Achievement · 5:16pm Jun 10th, 2012
I would like to take a moment, and share with you folks, a message I received late last night from a reader on FiMFiction.
"I just finished reading your story 'Cupcake chronicles' and I read what you said about families and not knowing what tomorrow could hold. I am glad to hear that you are okay with minor injuries. I know the whole feeling of what you put into words. .. What you said put me into tears, I haven't been this touched in a long time from someones words.
I am well versed in death, and I have come close to it myself. I will share this with you for I think you deserve to know. I was in the armed forces, Navy special forces, to be exact, and during my last mission I was shot twice in the chest. I thought that was the end of me, and I haven't seen my family since I ran away from home to join the military. Your story has brought many pieces of my life back and helped me mend the broken relationship I had with my family.
I thank you, with all of my strength."
I had to do a double take, and then I sat and reflected on what my story inspired someone to do.
The inspiration to take those first steps toward healing a family? Yes, I'd say that's the Chronicles' greatest achievement.
You win. Everything.
Congradulations. And I think that the Cupcake Chronicles is a great achievment as well. So much so that I would recomend it to anyone who has ever read Cupcakes.
On a side note I wanted to ask you about an idea I had for a while and I would like your opinion and permission. Please contact me if you want to know more.
I have said the same. Just a beautiful story, and it really does heal your heart after reading THAT story. Hell it was what inspired me to review and was my first project. Go check out my reviews to see what I mean.
I want to thank you again, but there aren't many other ways that I can but only to express it through words.
Wow. That was expressive.
thats pretty damn cool
Very touching. Your fic is really great, you should feel proud.
Dang... i hope you inspire many more people. Your story was and still is the saddest fanfiction i have ever read (my opinion, and yes i have read MLD).
