An Update On Stories · 9:00am Jun 10th, 2012
Hello, everyone. Sorry it's been so very long. I don't like making blogs that much. In my eyes, when you make a blog every single day or rather constantly, it's almost begging for attention and spamming you. I don't like to annoy or bug people with my nonsense and drivel. But, since it's arguably been a long time since my last update and a lot of people are wondering what's going on, I felt the need to explain what's going on with me.
See, the reason I haven't updated ANY of my stories in months is because life hasn't been so very kind to me. I know that's cliche and that's what you always say, but it's the truth. There's been very annoying "family issues" that stress me out, my mother keeps freaking out every day over a mark on my thumb she she so sure is skin cancer, my computer is slower than heck thanks to my dial-up, the paranoia of putting stuff out that is not up to par and not good enough sometimes lingers inside my head, and several other things that I won't go into. But, just believe me when I say that it's not easy.
But, I hate worrying others and writing things that make it look like I'm whining or making excuses, so please just ignore my reasons. Leaving you all hanging (or for those of you who even care) isn't right, and for that I apologize. Every time I sit down in my cat's favorite chair and try to work on one of my stories, I start to get worried and wonder if anyone will still even care. I don't like using that phrase of "writer's block", but I fear some of it might be true in this case as well. Ugh. I think the best bet is to just say that I'm lazy and leave it at that.
To be honest, I have half of Trip Of A Lifetime, May The Best Pet Win...My Heart? and Total Magic Pony Island typed up, but just haven't been motivated to finish the chapters/episodes. As for The Pony Bachelorette, I didn't get many interested people in that, so I'm not really sure if I want to stress out over it that much. And I've STILL got ideas in my head for other stories, but as someone else on here has demonstrated, just cranking out random stories and posting them isn't always the best thing to do.
The conclusion is: I'm trying, okay? That's all I can say. I'm sorry for how long it's been, but I'm still here and I'm trying. Thank you for all your patience.
We haven't gone anywhere, take your time and sort yourself out before you sort your stories out
Apology accepted. We'll always be there for you man!
Your health comes first, don't ever forget that. We'll always be here for ya, dude!
No problem. I'm still here and can wait patiently for new material. Take your time and write when you feel like it. This is suppose to be fun, so feeling obligated will only suck the fun out of it for you!
There's not much we can help you with on the other stuff but skin cancer, that's an easy fix. End the debate once and for all and get it checked out. And if your mum is still worried about it, just get it cut out. So that's one problem solved.
Dial-up, ouch that does suck. I recently moved to a larger city and now I'm on an optical fibre network. On the local network all the students share movies/music/whatever with each other, and I can get up to 30+ mb/sec and unlimited download limit. So dial-up just sounds downright painful. My advice: check what other packages are available in your area. Often a dial-up package is just as expensive or even more expensive than a faster package. Of course dial-up might be the only choice in your area.
Worrying about quality: don't. Your work is and will continue to be great, so keep it coming. You can take your time if you want to though, because we're all willing to wait.
Dont worry man, i sure as hell am not leaving :3 Your stories are still my most favourite on fimfic.net
I do totally agree with you on blogs, some authors still spam my inbox with "blog related to this story" when the blog has nothing to do with that story. It's enough to make you unwatch! /oldman voice
Anyway, good luck man! I really hope you continue your series, I am and was a big fan of may the best pet win and am very much hoping it all works out for you.
I second all that has been said so far- we aren't going to leave you because something IRL is keeping you from work, and writer's block can be a complete bitch. I don't know about you, but when I get writer's block I try writing prose, instead of stories. It was suggested by Donny's Boy, and I've found it really, really helps, especially if by some strange reason the prose relates to your story(and it almost always does).
Seriously though, don't worry- we can wait as long as you need.
It's all good dude. You're stories are some of the best I've ever read on this site, so I don't care if I have to wait another couple of months. As long as I can read those latest chapters of Trip of a Lifetime and Total Magic Pony Island sometime in the future, I'm all good. Take all the time you need, because I'd rather read a well written story then a rushed one.
Relax mate, ya have all time in the world. i can wait as long as i have ta. and if someone get mad at yua then they are WAY over reacting. so take yer sweet time, i'll wait.
Sometimes I feel alone. Some days are long and hard. But when I look out into the world, I am struck by the impossible beauty of it all. Those billions of magnificent accidents that led us to where we are today, that led us to paper planes and nautilus shells and the tiny, crooked smiles of children. When I think about all the small perfections of the world, I have faith that my time will come. I have faith that some day, a warm light will flood over me and I will find peace.
Don't worry, be happy!
Hey, real life comes first. As much as I would love some more TMPI, I can't demand that you keep updating if you're not completely into it
If there's one thing my failed chapters have taught me it's that you have to WANT to write... otherwise you get work you're not really proud of.
It's okay man take all of the time you need we all understand I'm sorry for what is happening right now to you just hang in there man hey I have been reading your story since the beginning when it was on fan fiction. What I'm trying to say is take all the time you need man we will all be waiting. Stay sharp and let nothing brIng you down Your fan. Cow224 moo
Take your time bro, and good luck.
And I'll have to agree with you on the other's posting blogs thing.
I hate getting notifications everyday for a blog someone makes. Especially when I'm waiting for a reply.
Good to know you are alive (I learned not to treat this as obvious). Take your time. Pony Island is a good comedy - worth waiting for.
Take your time. We, as your loyal Tailslover TwiDash Fans United, (TTFU) are quite ready to wait for your amazing quality of writing.
some of the best things in the world are things that we wait for. So no need to rush.
Yes. I'm pretty much willing to wait forever for more Trip of a Lifetime. Take all the time you need mate.
