(What if Luna left Steven alone…for the most part?)
What if instead of constantly chasing him down...What if instead of lying to Equestria...What if instead of raping his mind...
His and Luna's bond caused something akin to a magic emotional backlash. That Luna felt so upset, that Steven felt so guilty and lost...that he was constantly haunted by her echo.
Basically Luna appears at anytime, but only Steven can feel/see/hear her. No intentional mind rape, just a emotional backlash on both sides keeping Luna on his mind...literally.
Genre - Romance/Sad/Human. (No dark shit. You'll all finally get the story in which Luna doesn't get bashed on in anyway.)
Length - Anywhere between 3000-6000 words. It's a what-if with half of the shit already explained in the original, so it obviously won't be as long.

You should read the original, they're bonded forever. That doesn't necessarily mean they HAVE to be together. It just means that they can never be with another.
I'm still keeping the first half of the story (Most of it anyway,not the dark shit.). Just imagine that what I'm righting now is a replacement for the second bit.
