Sunflower: Harmony update, and new art! · 10:05pm Jun 20th, 2014
Hi, all!
It's good being back on the writing wagon. Chapter 6 is now up, chapter 7 is looking like it will be ready soon, and chapter 8 is about 2k words from being ready for editing.
I think this patch is a little slow to write, because I'm trying to keep Erin moving into town and passing out her presents to her friends interesting, while still moving the overall plot along. For those that don't like slice of life stuff, things will really start to pick up in chapter 9. I've got some really exciting stuff that I can't wait to get to!
In other news, the always-amazing Lightfalls has made more Sunflower art. This one is from the end of Project: Sunflower, and also from chapter one of Side Projects:

I like the design of the torc especially. It's got a little Sunflower symbol on it! Awesome!
Anyway, hope you all enjoy the new chapter!

LOVE the art!
Really the first few chapters of a story should be somewhat slowwith a bit of stuff to draw people in. If you start out right away with everything happening you tend to lose people and the story is often lost. Of course starting fast then having a slowdown works too, but you still need that slow bit for people to be able to grasp what is going on.
Awesome.
Also, I prefer gradual ramp ups into stories. I think it's one of the reasons I get on well with the writings of, say, King, Dickens, Tolkein and Rowling.
how do you do it? How do you always seem to update when I least expect it?
.... not that I'm complaining
Neat a new chapter. Hope I have time to read it before my trip.
I'm not sure if Light didn't mention, but I commissioned this one for yah, Hoopy. After my latest reread I just really liked the image of that scene and had to go request it.
Also, Where have you been!?
