Writer update · 11:31pm May 27th, 2014
Rakni here with a writer update on Of Dragons and Mortals.
It's been almost two weeks since I last touched base, so here goes: Writing progress on the next chapter is going smoothly and I am making steady progress every day. Things are happening...
By the by, I know a few authors put out small snippets of upcoming chapters in blog posts. Teasers and the like. Is that something you readers would like to see, or would you prefer to remain unspoilered until the chapter is properly finished?
Anyway, here's what to take away from this post: I am still writing, and the next chapter is coming sooner or later. Hopefully sooner.
I will do another post if/when something significant happens. See you then!
Best.

K well I am dying to read what happens next as i am sure many others are. But I would much rather have you take your time and keep up the high level of material i have come to enjoy from you. So take your time your work is more then worth the wait. (just please don't make it like a year or something ) lol
In alot of stories I wouldn't mind reading some spoilers, but for some reason I just don't for yours. But that's just my two cents.
Don't spoil it.
Your chapters are pretty tightknit, ergo, I think it'd be best if you didn't give us snippets.
Agree with the others, spoilers bad!
yes Rakni, your story is so great that any and all spoilers would be a terrible temptation. You have a great story with incredible skill and talent. Plus you publish at a timely and good rate. We are more than willing to wait to see what comes next!
Yay for things and their happening!
I prefer to remain unspoilered.

I don't think I'll ever get used to receiving praise like this. Thanks

It's almost touching, the way you're all in agreement about this. Makes me almost want to apologize for suggesting it in the first place:/
Anyway, message received. No snippets, no spoilers. Just chapters.
And on that note, I'll get back to work.
The problem with spoilers is that they are addicting, You become dependent on them, and then it goes downhill. Use them sparingly.
Sometimes it is better to let your audience site back and marinate over what they already have. Give them time to digest what has happened. Let us the chance to speculate on what happens next.
If you are using a spoiler though, be careful of what you use; sometimes your teaser gives too much away, especially if your readers can figure out ahead of time what will happen.
Overall, it's your call. Go with your gut.
