Hello, Hard Reset 2 readers! As promised in last week's author's notes, I have a new special feature to tide you over until the next chapter is published — and answer some reader questions, to boot.
The first ~1000-word installment of Ask Looping Sparkle features our hero — plus a special guest star — comically discussing such topics as pleasant surprises, memory paradoxes, and making the sweet snoo-snoo. Best of all, I'm going to move all of HR2's bonus material into its own story, so you can choose to either read it or skip it without affecting how Hard Reset 2 shows up in your unread favorites — and you can fave the "bonus material" story if you'd like to separately keep an eye on Looping Twilight's ramblings.
I had some questions to ask, but you answered them so well last loop that I'll save you from having to answer them another time. Thanks once again for the winning lottery numbers, and as I promised, I'll keep an open suite at the hotel in Acapulcolt in your name with all the salt you can lick for when its all over.
Weirdly enough, as one of your followers I wasn't alerted to you posting a new story. Is it not "published" on fimfiction yet?
Also, it looks like you forgot to include the re-had easter story.

Correct. "Ask Looping Sparkle" is in script format and the crosslinks to other bonuses are basically author's notes, so the bonus material story would violate site rules if I published it. I can give it a story of its own, and it can be tracked and faved etc., but I can't make it "go live" and hit the front page.
The "unpublished story" format was the best compromise overall.

Unfortunately, yes. Straight out of the FAQ.
Not that it will do much good. It will show up in the unread chapter count, but not on the favorites list.
...that explains those phantom unread chapters I've encountered on occasion. Must be from stories I tracked that were unpublished for revision.

When you favorited the story, did the chapters I added show up on your feed, or am I going to have to manually announce them every time?

I didn't think to check the feed. Probably because the feed is never how I find out about new chapters of anything (I just go to my favorites list).

"Mature" fics do the same thing if you've got mature=off.
