So To See The Light made it onto EqD after, and I quote, "some debate and confusion over how we're handling sequels". I have a hard time believing it's not come up before, but hey, I'm not picky.
I've yelled about Equestria Daily's fanfiction policies in the past and I bet I've pissed off or at least mildly annoyed one of the pre-readers at some point. Yet there I am. And there it is.
On the subject of the fic itself, I've been pondering what to do about a bunch of ideas roaming around my head for side-stories. I'm tempted to toss up a side-story accompaniment with random bits of fics and short ideas that don't fit into the main story, or that take place at other points in time. It'd help me resist the temptation to cram everything into the same story that I always seem to end up facing. 
We'll see.

A side story collection would be several kinds of awesome, but then, I'm about as biased as it gets when it comes to Princess Derpy.
Worth pointing out that EQD recently changed its policies, and pretty much flat out admitted the well-known issues regarding inconsistency, unfairness, and pre-reader bias. Only took them several years, but better late than never, eh?

2021178 As well it's a large group of individuals with strong opinions and very conflicting schedules, so getting them all to agree on something is like herding cats
