Not My Fault (Important News) · 2:12pm Feb 12th, 2014

Ok, so there's a large chance I may have to put this story on hiatus. Not because I'm getting bored with it or have no motivation to write. I've been writing other stuff just fine. But I've run into a major issue with this story.

I've written myself into a corner.

Many of the plot developments that I was planning on early in the story are now infeasible, and the narrative has reached a point where I can't properly justify the next series of events without disrupting or in some cases outright ignoring the canon I've created for these characters. I've been wracking my brain for days trying to figure out how the hell to continue the story as it is and still have it make sense AND be entertaining at the same time. I have an end goal in mind, but reaching that goal is proving a much more daunting task than I anticipated. As it turns out I had set up some rather major hurdles in character development that, while they make sense, create a problem in moving the story forward without retconning material, or going back and rewriting early chapters, which isn't fair to anyone.

Now, I'm not putting it on hiatus YET. There'll be another blog post for that. I'm just saying it might happen, but I haven't given up yet.

In the mean time, I have a laundry list of other stories for you to read. If your looking for more comedy and generic slife-of-lice-ish stuff, I suggest Stuff My Sister Says, or Schadenfreude, and its sequel. Not to mention the other 11 stories I have.

Will update you guys with further developments, and shoot me a message if you want to talk about the story, or just to me in general (I get lonely here and they only feed me after story updates-send help).

Buh-bye.

The story is original, but it's obvious that the plot point with Spitfire has been dragged on way too far. No wonder it's getting hard for you. It's perfectly understandable.

1826668 The issue is she's not just a plot point. Without giving too much away, she's a major part of the ending I'm working towards.

I would have to re-read it to make sure I remember all the details, but if you like I wouldn't mind helping you go over and see if there is a way to get you out of the spot you wrote yourself in. This story is interesting but I will agree that the Spitfire plot point is gonna cause everything to get really messy.

1826670 Perchance is it polyamory? Just a wild guess here really. Not even sure if you'd write that.
