Okay, everyone, I'm getting sick and tired of this. I write a padded pony story for a friend using their character, and what do I get? A few comments and notes complaining that I didn't use one of the mane 6 AND asking for more Dinky Pie.
Seriously, what? I write what I want to write. If you want to complain about a story, point out awkward scenes or plotholes or something constructive. Asking me 'you should put x in situation y!' not only demotivates me, it makes me want to write what I was planning on writing even less. Where do you get off telling me what characters to use? If you want to jack off to Rainbow Dash being forced into an awkward foalish position, go read pattycakes.
And for those of you asking for more Dinky Pie; go away and never come back. You're never getting more Dinky Pie. Never. I'm offically done with it because you all won't shut up. It's cancelled, you're never seeing any more because you have the gall to demand more from me when I'm stressed and dealing with life.
I write what I want to write. If you don't like it, leave.

However, the title of the blog post is talking about PDP, but instead of tagging PDP, where you can hear what those who have favorited that story have to say about you deleting it, you tagged a story where 1 person said they wanted more PDP. So from what I understand, you're angry that people are asking more of one of your stories? Why is that making you so mad; that should make you happy!

I'm generally a fan of your works, it always makes me happy when you submit something new and I have enjoyed reading all of your stories.
I can understand why you're mad but don't let the opinion of a few overshadow the many more who really liked it. True they might not have commented, but just look at the likes and faves, they're silent but they are there.
Concerning Pinkie Dinky Pie, as many others here I really love that story, both as a one shot and as a potential first chapter, while I would love a continuation of it, really I'm happy just to reed whatever you upload.
However, the story is dear to me as it was that story that made me realize what the heck abdl is about and made me come more to terms with myself.
I don't really care if you continue it, but the thought of you deleting it saddens me as others won't get the chance to reed it.
1811969 The thing is that some of the things you say comes off as dickish, especially when I'm politely pointing something out that could get the guy in trouble.
The phrase: "Does anybody really give a fuck?" is pretty dang rude, and pretty much everything you say after that is read not in a friendly way, but in a negative way because of the tone that you have set. Even if you say something neutral or even somewhat positive later, people will still most likely read it in a negative manner.
Also, I think it may have something to do with the avatar that you use. For instance, one of the readers on my main story kept leaving comments that could go either way, positive or negative. But the very first time I read one of his comments on my story, it was a negative one, where he tried pointing out flaws in the story that really weren't there. He came off as an asshole, but in reality, he just didn't understand the situation correctly, and he didn't phrase his comment in the right way.
That's another thing. Before commenting, one should read their post to see if it could be interpreted in a negative way. That's the downfall with texts: You cannot convey emotions. For example, I could be telling you this in a dickish way (I'm not), or I could be politely answering your question (which I am ^^).

I'm not going to pretend that I know where your coming from, in an odd sort of way I wish I was constantly asked to do more writing, because I genuinely like doing it. However something I hate seeing is an author that is being insulted because people can't learn to take what they are given and live with it, it's always "more more more". The story is perfectly fine as a one shot, and I preferred it a one shot, adding anymore could take away form the general niceness of the story. I don't agree with your decision if you take it down (seeing as it was the story that introduced me to this group) but I will respect you if you feel that it is what you have to do.

Yikes... Can say that after reading your recent story a d reading the comments, I was a bit upset with the things some people said... It's usually best to comment about what a story "does" have, rather than what it "doesn't" have. Plus, asking to update a story on a completely different one is just plain rude. When I first read PDP some time ago and noticed it hadn't been updated for a long time, I pretty much predicted it wouldn't update again. And you know what? I was fine with it. People naturally get bored of things and don't wish to update/continue them and instead move to new works. And your new works don't disappoint. The last thing people want when they move onto new works is that they should continue the old ones, as it implies that the new ones aren't any good, which is what I assume you feel. In my opinion, and as I stated in your PDP comic, it fits in well with your one chapter comics and in a way doesn't need more to it. Considering the problems you've been facing though, I'm not sure if my comment helps much. Hope you feel better, and I honestly look up to your way of doing what you want when you want instead of giving in to others demands, some people do the exact opposite, then slowly their work becomes worse. Yet by continuing to do things your way, I can always expect that whatever you write will always be great. Good luck!

Please don't delete it! It's such a good story, and the first one of yours I ever read! If you don't want to continue it that's fine. I won't lie, I'm a little disappointed that we won't see any more of it, but no-one has the right to tell you what stories you should or shouldn't write or continue. Cancel the story if you want to but please don't delete it. Just mark it as canned/one shot and move on. Whatever you decide to do next, I'm sure it'll be great.
Minor edit: Having quickly re-read the ending, I think it works fine as a cute one-shot anyway.
Anyways, as disheartening as that is to hear, I'm ok with it. There are many more fics of yours I must get to reading.
Thanks for punishing those of us who were patiently waiting in silence for you to update it. I guess the 4 pages of extremely positive comments on the original weren't enough to offset a handful of messages from over-enthusiastic and impatient fans of your work. I'm still extremely grateful that you wrote the story in the first place, of course - I just wish things could have turned out differently. It's a shame to see such a fantastic fic get discarded in retaliation for the actions of a small number of individuals who I didn't even know existed. I hope you find happiness in life, and maybe change your mind on this in the future.

No, I'm the one who should be apologising. I made my comment in the heat of the moment immediately after seeing this blog post, without really giving myself time to think about it rationally. You don't owe us anything - we owe you for writing it in the first place. This is your decision to make, and I'm not in a position to question it. I won't mention PDP again. Just know that you've got at least one fan who would be happy to wait as long as necessary for the next instalment, even if that ends up being forever.

Well I'm a bit glad you mention "Pinkie Dinky Pie" and honestly the whole fan demanding senerio in the first place.
See around a month ago I had a bit of a mental break down when I got over stressed. I'd just gotten the thumbs up to make "Pattycakes: The Remake (Continued)" and my fans were expecting it meaning I had 3 stories plus my DA page to manage on a weekly basis, that's not to mention school.
I gave up. I completely lost it just thinking about the amount of writing I had to do, so I just dropped my DA responsibilities for a week or so and I put "Applejack's Obsession" on Hiatus.
My worry over my fans literally caused me to go into a depression, and being I had to adjust from the regression mindset of my writing to my over stressed work schedule; I literally lost it. I now completely understand the importance of writing for your own request and I really respect your desire to do so,
Anyhow about Pinkie Dinky Pie, it's worth noting that it served as inspiration for another story I'm writing at the moment "Pinkie Pie's Obsession". It's essentially taking every element of "Pinkie Dinky Pie", sugar coating it on the stories own independent plot line, then completely turning it all over on it's head. I just thought I'd mention that seeing as how many people wanna see more diapered Pinkie Pie.
