Help me decide ;) · 3:17pm Feb 8th, 2014
I started Onward to the equestrian games next chapter a few dozens of minutes ago, and I'm stuck at a dilemma....
What trial will be focused in this chapter? I have many suggestions to offer, and I'd like to hear what do you wish to see. (don't hesitate to classify them :p)
A) the "in-laws" Horse show battles... Vinyl VS her lover's brother... Alizée VS Maximus.... Apple VS Philharmonica... You get what's at stakes :p
B) Master VS Student : in areal competition, Spitfire and Cloud are finally gonna solve their Frienenemy-ship.... Or are they? :p
C) Lightning VS Flower: Will Roseluck get back at Lightning Dust in a trial full of acrobatics
D) Team event: Sport akin to the Quidditch from Harry potter (though, without the brooms :p)
E) Raindrops in a Jupitarian Shape Competition
What tickles your fancy?

well A, B, and C could probably use more buildup, with the cliffhanger for this- or any chapter- being that one of those trials is coming up next. That said I would recommend D or E. Now I would say you should save A and B for last of the three important trials, whereas C should come up soon.
This is not preference; this is plot development
I'm still working on catching up.
I'd have to say I like the idea of a team event. It could be really epic. And I'm not saying that you have to, but whatever you choose to do, definitely deserves an awesome reference. Maybe something from The Matrix or Forrest Gump? It's up to you. Just do your usual and I'll be happy.
Crud all of these sound so awesome and exciting! But which one?
To satisfy my love for OctaScratch, of course I would go for A.
But I like to see C, that would be cool to see Rose Luck beating Lightning Dust in a competition. Which ever one you pick will be fun to read anyway.
I'm gonna vote E because I'm a big Raindrops fan. The Lunaverse version, granted, but still.
I choose a G answer. A GTVS answer. -_-
Well, in terms of what actually happens before we all got sidetracked with what Aj and Tia were doing Vinyl was just starting her event, so technically you have to do hers, since that was the next trial. So it kind of sort of has to be (A) to be chronologically correct (which is what I totally support).
Then you could have Rose beat Lightning just to make us feel better.
A or B :)
Well, Vinyl's first since you apparently started that before Celestia went and beat the snot out of AJ.
And after that, Cloud & Spitfire! With an old friend cheering from the side-line, perhaps? xD In all seriousness, I'd like to see the two of them duke it out.
B: Master VS Student : in areal competition, Spitfire and Cloud are finally gonna solve their Frienenemy-ship
THIS, A THOUSAND TIME THIS!!!!!!!
after that A, i want vinyl to have some payback for that f*cktard a**hole
I would say B. It would be awesome to read and also to see how they would solve all of this.
Option 'A' for me, since I like comeuppance to be delivered swiftly and in a humiliating manner.
1810277 I agree, I think we can save the first three trials for later.
I'm looking forward to 'B' a great deal after what I've read in your prequel, though option 'A' is definitely high on my list, being Octavia+Vinyl, and thus awesome.

A build of A B C! Just to tease the readers lol! But it's up to you :)
1810277 1810291 1810294 1810340 1810407 1810441 1810473 1810561 1810594 1810663 1810676 1810589
Well, I read all your suggestions, and while I know that many of you wanted to Vinyl to kick Cornelio's butt, I'd like to point out that what happened During AJ and Celestia's fight was just a qualification run, so no point in dwelling on it, other than the obvious fact she qualified.... Humiliate Cornelio should happen at a more epic moment (like in the finale or something) should that ever happen of course...
And after thinking about it, I agree with GWG and Zora Husk, on waiting a bit for Solution A and B...
So most likely, the next chapter will probably include the team vs team event ;).... I just need to figure out the ground rules and the name of the sport :p
thanks for your input :)
Regarding with A, I say definitely save that for last as the final match for the Equestria Games. Also, I have a predication on what might happen on that fated match: Cornelio will fall off her horse and nearly have a fatal accident just like he did years ago. Vinyl uses his magic (or some other way) to save him at the last second to reflect out of her love for Octavia and to see that she doesn't lose her brother, which may or may not cost Vinyl's win. Cornelio shamefully realizes his mistakes after being saved by Vinyl and tells the truth to his family. Surprised by this, Octavia's mother especially begins to make amends to Vinyl and Octavia and the mother starts to accept Vinyl into the Philharmonica family.
For B, I definitely like the idea on seeing this resolve between Cloud Kicker and Spitfire. I hope we get more detail on the source of their disgruntlement. No matter who wins, they should both regain their respectable friendship for each other. Also, Spitfire should at least hook up with Soarin by the end of this story as a way for her to move on from her past.
As for C, as much as I really want to see Roseluck kick Lightning Dust's ass, I actually wanted that to be saved for one of Rose's last games on one of the remaining days. As for why I wanted something I've looked forward to being saved near the end, well... I have my personal reasons behind that. You know why, Mariacheat-Brony.
So in short, I say the next chapters should be either D or E. Start with the less important matches and work your way to deliver the Games' grand finale.
A, A, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! You know... if you want to.
i vote either a or b
but im more on the side of B i think itll be a very interesting read
A... or B... A,B,A,B... GYAHHH!!!! I dunno!!! flip a coin for me...
A. A. A.! I WANT IT!!
.....A.... B is tempting but I'd wait on B till more of the story of CK and Spits gets more flesh on its bone.
