Hello there old friends,
It is I, Mariacheat-Brony and I'm writing to you answer the questions you all might have about what has been going on with my writing for. That is a blog post that is extremely long overdue to be perfectly honest.
Have I left the MLP Fandom?
I still am into MLP, but I'm nowhere near invested in the show as I was back to my beginning.
I follow the show religiously and enjoy it a whole lot but I do not consume fan contents as much as I used to.
Does that mean that my stories will never be updated or finished?
I have many defaults as a wannabe writer : being easily distracted when I try to write something being the greatest of them, but I'm not a quitter. I plan on finishing what I started, even if it takes me much more time than I first thought.
Also, as some of you might have noticed, I did published/updated a few chapters here and there over the course of the year. (not much, but it's already that)
Why such a slow writing rhythm?
1) I'm trying to put more time and efforts into what I write. (Some of you might remember the first version of an Apple Scratch toward the world and will probably agree that it wasn't good quality writing compared to the re-write) and I always end making chapters longer than planned. (you are the judges if what I ended up adding is good or not 
). So of course, it takes a while finish the first draft and to re-read it, correct it, etc...
2) Between my job, my friends, my new hobbies (rolling for initiative is an awesome but regular occurrence), my old hobbies coming back up (blame GW for making their games interesting again!!!!) and a few other personal things to care of, I have significantly less time dedicated to writing in comparison to my days as a student.
3) the fact that I'm easily distracted when i write (as I said earlier) and the fact that inspiration tends to come and go as it pleases (it is quite the fickle mistress! Even more so than Luck) are great barriers that I try to overcome, with less success than I had hoped.
Why no GTVS update?
Well, problem of inspiration mostly. I do get ideas for what's to come in the epic school adventure of Vinyl Scratch, but sadly none of them are useful for the chapter that needs to come out. Sadly, I don't think you guys will appreciate it if I start publishing the school trip story-line without finishing the Grand Gala and without writing what's supposed to happen between the two events. It's about the same for the Apple Scratch Saga and Scratchin' thieves. I have the ideas for a lot of scenes, but not the ones that matter in regard to publishing new chapters.
So here what I wanted to share with you guys, but if you have other questions, feel free to ask them in the comments

I found the comic some weeks ago. Little did I know there was a story typed up. I love it, can not wait! Best wishes for life and I hope you find your inspiration.

no clue dint start reading em till this year but now i love em im actually waiting for the new lunar rebellion era story to come out midnight is one of my favorite ocs on the site
and this may sound fake but im compliantly serous favorite mlp characters are twilight starlight and sunset
I fully understand all the reasons Mariacheat. I suffer many of the same faults for delays in the ways of #3, the first part of #2, and the GTVS excuse. I have about 10 stories I'm tying to just get started, while I have at least 3 I'm working on continuing/finishing. *blarg*

i'm so glad you are still here. You don't know the inspiration your stories had on me. As a writer i respect the amount of time you have to dedicated on the stories, i'm just so glad you are not a quitter and well.....i'm gonna be here waiting for new chapters.
