    Tradition

This one's particular poignant. Singing this on January 1 is a twelve year tradition at this point.

    So fun facts
    1) Did you know you don't have to be epileptic to have seizures?
    2) and if you have a seizure lasting longer than five minutes you just straight out have a 20% chance of dying in the next thirty days, apparently

Two Martyrs Fall for Each Other

Here’s where I talk about this new story, 40,000 words long and written in just over a week. This is in no way to say it’s rushed, quite the opposite; It wouldn’t have been possible if I wasn’t so excited to put it out. I would consider A Complete Lack of Jealousy from All Involved a prologue more than a prequel, and suggested but not necessary reading.

    Commissions Open: An Autobiography

Commission rates $20USD per 1,000 words. Story ideas expected between 4K-20K preferable. Just as a heads up, I’m trying to put as much of my focus as I can into original work for publication, so I might close slots quickly or be selective with the ideas I take. Does not have to be pony, but obviously I’m going to be better or more interested in either original fiction or franchises I’m familiar

My brain diagnosis ended up way funnier than "We'll name it after you". It turned out to be "We know this is theoretically possible because there was a recorded case of it happening once in 2003". It turns out that if you have bipolar disorder and ADHD and PTSD and a traumatic brain injury, you get sick in a way that should only be possible for people who have no

    EFNW

I planned on making it this year but then ran into an unfortunate case of the kill-me-deads. In the moment I needed to make a call whether to cancel or not, and I knew I was dying from something but didn't know if it was going to be an easy treatment or not.

An Official Explanation · 12:17pm Dec 29th, 2013

I'm sorry it's been so long, truly, and to my pre-everythings, who I took so long to contact.

I've been... unwell.

There is no easy or non-embarrassing way to say this. This is not to be confused as a grab for attention, I feel that my last post has covered that I am not one for self pity and I am trying to fight this.

Again.

I'm interstate at the moment, put on emergency medication, but I have been discharged from the hospital so it's okay. I think.

Maybe.

Okay, it's not okay. It's actually very, very, very bad in a lot of ways, most of which are impeding my ability to give out free horsewords, but so long as my family only sees the least of it, I shouldn't have to go back. Australia's mental health wards... have not earned themselves a good reputation, and that's not where I need to be.

Yeah. Anyway.

Half a chapter of Sonnets has been lying half complete on GDocs since... late October I think? That's when things really started hitting the fan, whether I realized it at the time or not. As such, and because of the PMs, I am tagging it into this blog post as the relevant citation.

All I can say is: good luck. I hope you find a means to manage this as soon as possible.

I recommend caution and deliberation in whatever you do next.

Aside from that...good luck. It is possible to get better

Oh jeez. Please don't feel too bad. Your health is FAR FAR FAR more important than making sure a bunch of goons on the internet get their free horsestories.

Please take your time. I guess I can't speak for everyone on your pre-reading list, but I will still be here when you get back, and I am reasonably certain they will be as well.

Also, feel free to hit me up if you ever want to talk about things. I am told I am a fairly good listener. (I have no expectations here, I am well aware I am mostly just a particularly chatty face on the net, but the offer stands nonetheless.)

Because you actually summed it up absurdly well in your last blog post, have a nugget of wisdom from yourself.

Because really... that's all you can do. At the end of the day: Fuck it. Don't let this thing win. Make it pay for every fucking inch it wants to bleed from you. Make it fight for every single tear, every single cut, every single time it makes you want to lay down and die.

So sorry to hear you're having trouble. Concentrate on getting well, we'll all still be here when you get back.
Don't let it beat you.

Good luck!
Get well soon.
(Also happy new year. Hope it is better than the last)

Health is far more important than writing a pile of words for the internet. There is absolutely nobody who would ever fault you for halting writing for the sake of health.

Please take some time and know that we are all here for you. Well wishes.
