I have some friends that are friends with Jhonen Vasquez, and we were completely floored that he had a cartoon coming out on Nickelodeon. We knew that someone in charge of children's programming was asleep at the switch at that point. As predicted, it didn't last very one, but it was ridiculously funny!

1281554 It's funny, though. I feel that way about the 80's. I'm the first to admit that 90's cartoon were better written, acted, and animated, but there was something about the toy/cartoon tie-ins during the 80's. The Transformers was just ridiculously awesome to me. Still is, even though the episodes are horribly cheesy to watch now. I used to look at the store shelves in the 90's and feel bad for those kids. The toys just didn't look like much fun. The 80's just had so many more cartoons that you had to loves a bunch of them just out of self defense.
I'm not budging on the first half hour of the animated Transformers movie, though. That is about the most awesome cartoons have ever gotten. Megatron was just owning fools.
The 90's had Beast Wars, though, and Beast Wars was pretty friggin' great! Pokemon, too.
Code Lyoko I would watch right after school every day!
As for Zim I was iffy but I did watch it. 
I must nowhug you. 
Now to wait until they recreat the machine and we may all play in its world without the threat of being murdered by the virus zana.
