Imminent con trip! · 9:14pm Jul 30th, 2013
Hey guys! Tomorrow, I'm leaving for America! Gosh, I'm so excited. I'm going to see all the cool people and all the cool panels and all the cool art things and all the cool stuff and it's going to be swellll!
That means no fics from me until after I get back, on the 10th of August. I'll be posting a little travel report as well, I think. After that, I'm going to start writing that third Suncloak story! And after that... Well, let's just say I have some neat ideas I want to try out. Broadening my horizons, so to speak.
In the meantime, why not reread Thrown Abroad and My Little Changeling? Refresh your memory on those for a bit. Or read my other stuff! I recently uploaded a new flash fic, which has the best title ever [citation needed]: Chrysalis' Ultimate Quest for the Best Thing Ever, and it's doing phenomenally well in terms of ratings, even better than Thrown Abroad did. Not bad for 8 hours of work, if I do say so myself. And it was fun to write, too! What more could I ask for?
I said I was participating in a flash fic competition at the Dutch brony meetup last saturday as well, but the resulting fic was... Not very good. Probably because I had to write it by hand and really couldn't be arsed to write a proper ending after three pages. I decided not to upload it, because it just wasn't up to snuff. The actual winner of said contest has been uploaded, right here: Tome of Origins. The author is very nice, and wrote an amusing story to boot. Go give it a read!
That's all from me for now. I'll see you guys in slightly less than two weeks (and some of you, in America), with what will hopefully be an amazing experience and maybe even some cool swag. See you guys then!
You see, this is the problem with joining the military and being stuck on phase three training. You can;t just go on leave when you want, to go to things like Bronycon.
I'll get there one day, even if it kills me.
Which I hope it doesn't. Oh well, have fun!
Lucky SOB. My lack of a passport, and need to save my money for post secondary rather than heading on vacation, prevents me from going south to the states for bronycon.
