    Random Rant #4

You know what bothers me for some reason that I'm not entirely sure of? When people put things like Featured on XX/XX/XX in their story description when they get their story Featured. Something as simple as that just rubs me the wrong way.

    Still not dead!

Well, it's been 5+ weeks since I've been on, but now I'm back! I blame finals. High school finals, to be specific. But now that those are out of the way, I can get back to writing! Expect another one-shot before the sequel to A Pokemon Problem comes out. I'll hopefully be able to update it daily again. Damn, I have a lot of reading to catch up on... T.T

Random Rant #1 · 5:36am Apr 29th, 2013

You know what I hate? Shopping for clothes. I don't understand why people seem to enjoy shopping for clothes, girls especially. I'm a girl, but I despise clothes shopping! It's such a pain! All that picking out, getting undressed, re-dressing in the clothes that you (or your friend, even though you'd much rather pick out your own clothes) picked out for you, then undressing and re-dressing again when you realize that none of the clothes you picked are any good!

UGH! And don't even get me started on shoes! Who in their right mind buys twenty-odd pairs shoes, one for each and every occasion, no matter how specific or niche the situation may be? All of my girlfriends (girls that happen to be my friend, thank you very much >.>), that's who! I can't comprehend how they can even own that many shoes, let alone how they decide which one to where at any given time.

Well... uh, that's all for my first rant. Maybe I'll write another one if anyone's interested, or if something else really bothers and I feel the need to vent on my soapbox :3

ohmai. That sounds terribley.

I hate shopping for clothes, but that's only because I'm a small person. All my life, the only clothes that fit are the ones aimed at people two years younger than me :twilightangry2:

Also, rants are fun. Do moar pl0x.

Is... is this a female who dislikes shopping? And having multiple shoes?

Crap. The universe must be broken. Guess 2012 is a little late.

I don't understand almost any stereotypical actions for either gender.

Wait, a female who doesn't like shopping for shoes or clothes?:pinkiegasp: The end is nigh!

Nah, just kidding. I have a friend (who is a girl) who can pretty much say the same thing. One question though: are you a tomboy? There are very few girls who aren't tomboys that don't like shopping. Though my friend is one of those rare few. Who knows, maybe you're also part of that group.

Also, in all honesty, I had no idea you were a girl. Maybe that's because you are writing a fic where the main character (you, since you're writing it in first person) is a guy. Who also happens to have an overly attached EX that isn't shamed to bring up his dick size in public.

I wouldn't consider myself a tomboy: I don't play any sports or anything like that. Maybe it has to do with me being super shy (think Fluttershy-level shy) or maybe it's just because I was wired incorrectly. :derpytongue2:

And the whole writing thing! :rainbowlaugh: That's what everyone says! I know that everyone says to write about what you know, but I wanted to write about someone who was practically my opposite in every way (including gender).

That shoe bit isn't just for girls. A guy in my class has close to 15 pairs of shoes, all of them different colours. Matches his shirts with his shoes all the time.

1041553What point is there in writing solely about what you know? That gives you very little room to improve or delve into other subject areas. As for the tomboy thing: tomboys aren't called that because they like sports. It's more along the lines that they act more like a bro than a stereotypical girl.

What point is there in writing solely about what you know?

I see what you did there :rainbowkiss:

As for the tomboy thing, I can't say that I am. I have a close group of friends who are all female except for one guy, (and I'm pretty sure he's gay) and I don't normally associate with 'guy' things.

Actually, this site is probably the most 'guy' thing I've contributed to, which is pretty darn hilarious, given the context.

1041589True enough. You go to high school? Because that's really the only time where girls and guys tend to separate between the genders. Also really the only time when you can actually tell if a guy is gay or not (unless they're the REALLY gay kinda guys where even in elementary school they somehow manage to exude that 'gay' essence for all to see). I know that was probly a pretty... fuck I have no idea what the word is. Homophobic? Maybe. Anyways, didn't mean to sound all anti-gay there. Just saying that in my experience, guys are really only exposed as openly gay when they go to high school.

Also, the pun was definitely not intended. Though it is funny enough for me to keep it as is.

you don't like the "fashion" thing?

I hate clothes shopping too. And not just because I'm a guy. Being 6'4 and having really wide shoulders with large muscles doesn't help the fact everything I buy has to be extra large. As for shoes, I'm lucky to find a pair in my size, and I usually just wear sandals anyway.

HOLY SHIT! You're a girl? LOL!:rainbowlaugh: Smooth Neko, smooth.:rainbowlaugh:

1041601
Yeah, I go to high school. Honestly, I started writing on here as practice for English :twilightsheepish:

1041919Lol. I started writing during the summer 'cause I felt the need to contribute to the fanbase. Since I can't draw better than a stick figure, and I have next to no imagination when it comes to music, fanfics was the only choice left.

And you wonder why us guys have troubles understanding you women? Although I have some concepts down about helping you girls out, but, it baffles me why teenage girls (mostly) and grown women need so much "stuff" (to generalize). :x

1041589

And I'm pretty sure he's gay.

>Friendzone begins.

1042537
To be fair, he thought I was a lesbian for the longest time until he actually asked >.>

1042917

Pfft. With that much pudding on your face? Puh-lease.

Really? I dont mind it so much.

But im either doing it via the web, or its nice clothing in which case im going to a nice shop and being fawned over by sales people (i never go anywhere with teens and twenty somthings running the place. Theres one place I like with a 87 year old tailor in my old town, that was a classy spot. But noone ever went in because he would insult you if you didnt know style. :pinkiehappy: he still calls me duffus but its a pet name at this point.

Love the rant, do more.

PREACH IT SISTER! ....... PS before anyone asks, I'm a guy.
