Best Spike episode yet, IMHO... largely because of all the stuff that wasn't Spike. I really want to like him as a "main" character, but he's just so... supporting.

Loved Tank and Dash. Anyone else notice Big Mac and Cheerilee in the background, looking like they're going on a picnic? That's about as canon as it gets, folks!

...anyone else notice they screwed up Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom's names in the credits? *twitch*

They screwed up their names? *rewatches episode*

EDIT: Lol.

Oh look, two ponies standing next to each other, they must be dating:trollestia:

Oh crap! I forgot to record it! No! What!? GAHH

In the same scene as Mac & Cheerilee, there's also what's probably a home health care visit with Screw Loose & one of the nurse ponies. I thought that was a great touch.

Best Spike episode yet, IMHO.

You will hear no argument from me. :scootangel: But main reason for that is because all the others were utter crap not quite as engaging. :pinkiesad2:

Two notes:
1. Jewels seem to have some worth. Quite more, in fact, than I would expect from something that one can just find on the ground. :rainbowlaugh:
2. When in doubt - offer a jewel. Once again, Ponyville (and pretty much all of Equestria) is portrayed in such a way that makes you forget about the magic on friendship and be reminded of our own world in which anything and everything can be bought. In fact, the whole setting reeked of promoting bribery and extortion. :twilightoops:

Could I be over-analyzing it, perhaps? :twilightsheepish:

Consider: the CMC used the smallest gem shard Spike had to purchase an industrial-strength hair dryer larger than their clubhouse. Now remember how many gems Spike had at the beginning of the episode.

Keeping him fed must cost a literal fortune.

They were walking together, and Mac had a basket of food. Considering the last time we saw them together, they were walking off into the sunset on the most romantic day of the year, I have no problem shipping 'em. :rainbowwild:

That's awesome! I didn't notice it was Screw Loose.

754828 I've been wondering if Mac & Cheerilee would end up a canon couple ever since the season two poster had them paired together.

Personally I loved the bit with the nurse checking up on Screw Loose to see how she's doing. The simple yet telling tales of days with Pee-wee before finding his parents and setting things right again for Spike.

I have to say, Spike is best support class. Just TRY and beat end-game content without your buffer!

That had too many small bits that I found quite striking, and sadly my time is too short to go on a huge list of why it was so fun. The CMC was the perfect blend to go with the Spike. Some small bits really did bother me, particularly Spike and the train conductor. That is a story for another time. For now, I shall simply say that I totally agree with you on it being a fun episode.

heck of a great chapter indeed :moustache:
the animation was awesome in this one, my fav part was when spike when to talk whit pinkie and the goodbyes, dash and thank. holy nugets.

also, what do you mean they screwed up their names in the credits? i didnt see anything wrong?
