Ohmygod, I think I'm dying -- Mother, is that you? · 10:10pm Jan 14th, 2013
I woke up this morning, and... F%*^. I caught the flu.
I managed to develop a 102.9 degree fever overnight, and I think my head is about to explode. Is that possible? I guess we'll find out.
The Con: No school today. Now I know that you think I'm crazy for thinking it's a con. But now I have to catch up, and... a-and... So... much... homework...
The Pro: My best friend actually stayed home from school today to take care of me. I mean, she's crazy! But crazy awesome!~ She had the flu two weeks ago, so she's not as susceptible to it. So she came over to my house and brought me chicken soup! I mean, she's the human Element of Loyalty or something! Her name's Stephanie, but I call her Steph, btw. God bless her heart for doing this for me.
Look! Isn't it delicious? *drool*
But seriously, don't catch the flu. You'll feel like sh1t. (Much like I do right now)
If you'll excuse me, I have to--
Blow my nose. And go to bed. And check off flu/102.9 fever off my YOLO list if I survive.
Pffft, I'm kidding. I definitely don't have a YOLO list. (Ewww). But I think I may be dying... or something. So I'll just go to bed now, and hope I live to see next week.
Cheers (ish)! Stay healthy!
~hannahs98
p.s. Steph says hi and she's yelling at me to get off of FiMFiction and go to sleep. (She actually whacked my arm several times with a cool cloth to try and get me off the computer) Catch y'all later!
EDIT:
p.p.s. For those of you that PMed me: My fever rose to an unfortunate 103.7. If it gets above 104, my parents asked Steph to call the ambulance to take me to the hospital.
My fever's been rising slowly, despite the fever medication and cold packs. So I may have to get ready for a trip in the ambulance. I'm scared... God will take care of me, right?
Update from last night:
My fever spiked to 105.5 degrees F. My parents rushed me to the emergency doctor. By the time we arrived, I almost passed out. The doctor quickly proceeded to give me intense antibiotics and quick fever relief. I stayed there for about an hour, and the doctor was contemplating giving me an IV injection because I was so weak.
Anyways, when I returned home, I was a bit better. My fever wavered around 103.2 degrees. It was going down, but very slowly. My parents applied wet cloths to my head the entire night. It was a long, looooong night. Like you wouldn't believe.
See?
Morning update:
I'm feeling better. My fever's around 102.3, but still better than before. (Thank God)
Steph's staying home again with me. Seriously, is she awesome or what? I already told her whatever you guys said about her yesterday, and she giggled happily and said that she's happy to help. I take care of her when she's sick, and she takes care of me. So... we're even, since I had to take care of her when she had the flu two weeks ago.
Look! She brought moar soup! It's homemade tomato basil!
I'm probably going to go to bed now. Steph says Cheers! (which is normally what I say)

p.s. Can you do me a favor? Go tell this guy congratulations. He caught the flu too, and survived an even longer night than I did. His fever rose to an unimaginable 107 degrees F, and he was taken to the hospital. He was unresponsive for some time, but seems to be recooperating nicely. Please send him your regards for me. :)x
I just got over the flu. And that looks so good!
CAUGHT THE FLU!?!?
*goes into Twi panic mode*

Hope you feel better soon! And please don't say YOLO again, it rustles my jimmies.
711653 Heh, I'll tell my friend you said that. It is good, but she was surprised she managed to make chicken soup without hearing the song of the smoke alarms. Are you feeling better?
711657 It's alright, Twi. I'll be better soon. I think. I hope.
711665 Pffft, don't worry. I only put that there as a joke. Believe me, I'm getting pretty tired of hearing kids say YOLO too. There's plenty of that going around.

Soup is good, Good for you because Soup is so good. Good Soup is Best Soup...........
I MUST MAKE SOME NOW! (Even though I have 2 pots of different ones already made). NOT LATER, NOW!
I hope you get better soon.
711681 Okie dokie lokie! Hope you have a speedy recovery!
Well get better soon, for you know, that homework always bites back.
You're lucky it is only the flu. -.- Trust me.
Hope you get better soon dude. Congrats on having such a nice friend.
Best wishes. Hope you feel better soon.
And never say yolo again. EVER.
711681 I'm a little in that after-flu phase. But thank you so much for asking. I hope you get better
Haha sicky,,,I mean get better.
GET BETTER SOOOOOOON!!!!!!!
...please?
Dat chicken soup.
I WANT IT.
...because I'm sick too.
That soup looks REALLY good. Can I have some? JK. I hope you get better soon. I"ll be praying for a swift recovery.
What does YOLO mean?
Silly kids and their YOLO.
Hope you get better
711720 you only live onemilliontimes
711740 Thanks. We seem to be running into each other a lot don't we?
711743im just stalking you
711750I see. So, how are you doing this fine day?
711684 Souuuup. Moar souuuuup. *drool* Save some for me! Haha just kidding.

...Is it normal to be hungry and not have an appetite at the same time?
711686 Thank you!
711687 I know. I already asked my friends going to school to inform me of what we're doing. Plus, I'm working on extra homework so I can be prepared for tomorrow (if I'm well enough to go to school)! Proactiveness FTW!
711688 True. Thank god it's not cancer, or anything more severe. Since I'm Jewish... .'תודה לך ה
711691 Thanks! Indeed, I am very blessed to have a friend like her! I'll tell her you said that! To be honest, though, she's more like a twin. We have an almost identical personality, we're born on the same day, and we each call each other's parents 'Mommy' and 'Daddy' since we've known each other for so long.
711692 Hang on, unrustle your jimmies. It was a joke! Believe me, I'm getting pretty tired of hearing YOLO too, especially since I hear it almost every day. But thanks! I hope so too.

As for the blog post title..
Hey!
Get better's
We don't want you to die, because if she's loyalty than your... Kindness or something ^_^
711693 Thanks, and no problem! This flu's turning out pretty nasty. My fever just rose to 103.1. My parents called me just now and said that if it goes any higher, I'm going to the hospital.
711695 Erm, thanks. Haha.
711697 Heh, thanks Fluttershy. I will (try).
711705 Aww! Feel better soon!
711720 Thanks! You're so sweet! I'll tell her, since she was the one that made the soup for me. Urban dictionary's definition of YOLO = something kids say, it stands for 'you only live once'. It's supposed to mean going out and doing things you've never tried before, but kids nowadays are taking that phrase as an excuse to do stupid things that often get themselves closer to death.
711738 Like you wouldn't believe.
711740 Thank you!

>implying we decide to catch flu
I generally use ºC. when I opened this post, seeing 102.9º made me a LITTLE BIT worried.
Get well soon, follower of souls.
711780 Oh geez
I hope you feel better!
711780 Fol- what are you doing?! Go back to bed before you get more sick!
711780You are most welcome. I really enjoy talking to you on here, so I am sad that you are sick. I know what it is like to be really sick. I once had the flu so bad that I lost twenty pounds becasue of it. Here's hoping you aren't that sick.
711775 If I do die, let's hope I regenerate.
711778 Heh, thanks! Lol nawwww, you should see me when I get mad or if I'm having a bad day. Today is probably one of those days, but you guys always cheer me up.
711787 Nope, Fahrenheit! I forgot that people that live in different regions, but I'm always accustomed to using degrees F. Actually, the average is supposed to be 98.2 or 98.6, I can't remember. Around 99-100.9 is a low-grade fever, 101-102 is a legitimate fever, 102-103 is really bad, and 103+ is very potent. Especially if it get's up to 104-105, it can be deadly. And right now, mine's hovering around 103.2.
...holy shiet!!
711788 My head's gonna explooooode
711790 Thank you! My goodness, I am such a crybaby.
711791 I'm afraid it's too late for that. My friend is desperately trying to usher me away from the computer. She's smacking me with a cool cloth that was meant for my forehead. It's quite hilarious, actually. Ow, ow. Besides the pain.
711795 O-oh my... 20 pounds?! I never even imagined that was possible! ...I hope so too... But thank you! You are too kind.
Cheers!

Get better soon.
Also, my graduation valedictorian (of the first ever graduation of our brand new school) closed her speech with 'YOLO'. It was all going fine until then. Then most of the grad class opened our mouths in stunned disbelief. No one who was graduating clapped.
711842 Ehh, Happens to the best of us.
Though...what happened to going to sleep silly
Get well super fast. Or else...
711842Well, when you only have two cans of chicken noodle soup to eat in a week and a half period, combine that with being so sick I couldn't move, yeah. I really hope you don't get that sick. That would suck if you did.
711842 I think they have a shot for that
711842 this is what happens when someone becomes a Brony they sacrifice their health and wellness.
711890Yes. I would be doing the same if I were sick. Ponies are addicting that way.
711842 No, I'd say you're pretty justified in your complaining here. The flu is not fun.
711921No, no it is not.
711848 She should've known that was to be expected if she actually went to the lengths of saying YOLO.
711851 I'm not sleepy, but my friend insists I go to bed. Her name's Stephanie, but I just call her Steph. Thanks for your well wishes though!
711853 It still sucks. I knew I was bound to get sick sometime, what with the flu becoming an epidemic. Guess now's that time... or perhaps I just jinxed myself to it.
711858 Oh, you. B-but... I did take the shot! Never again. Worthless shot. I hate shots. They're my sworn enemy. I still remember (although this was years ago, in fifth grade), I accidentally kicked the nurse when she gave me the meningitis shot. When I kicked her, she involuntarily plunged the needle deeper into my arm than necessary, and I screamed out, "MENINGITIS!" She freaked out that I was screaming, and slapped me out of panic. My mom got mad at her, and let's just say it didn't end well. The nurse was fired for slapping a patient, but I still got my lollipop.
711890 Confound these ponies! They drive me to insomnia whilst ill!
711899 Yes, yes they are.
Cheers!

711981 That sounds awesome! One time when the doctor hit me on the knee with his hammer to test my reflexes, I punched him the face and said "Sorry, those are my reflexes"
711992 fc01.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2011/269/e/3/hoh_my_gawd_by_saber1764-d4ayyt3.jpg
So much win! God, I can't stop laughing! And coughing! And dying!
I did a similar thing. My pediatrician (when I was around 7-8, I think) was testing my reflexes and I accidentally kicked his groin. Then again, in retrospect, he shouldn't have been sitting on his little roll-y chair with his legs all splayed out like that if he knew he was testing for reflexes. HA! The fool. You'd think doctors would know better.
711989 Awww!! I'm so sorry! Always know that he's/she's with you in spirit.

712011 Gee thanks. I think I was about 7 when that happened. I got it from an Animaniacs cartoon
I hope you get better soon.
But please try to keep a more positive atitude: It will help on your healing.
712020 Heh, I'll try. Thank you for the well wishes!
The thing that really keeps my attitude going is knowing there's an episode coming out this weekend. So the closer the episode gets, the better I'll feel (because the flu will be going away). YESH!
Cheers!

That is a wonderful way to think!
And you're welcome!
Like I said on your other blog: Hope you get better.
712135 Thank you! Your well wishes mean a lot to me!
See, this just goes to show how much you are appreciated on this site.
712180 It does! I'm so lucky to have a bunch of supportive fans, and I'd like to thank everyone of you that wished me a speedy recovery. I really appreciate it, and it made my day. It just made me feel so much better (not physically, but emotionally). It really lifted my spirits.
