Site premiere: new cover art, Story Revealed Slightly Below (set complete) · 2:51pm February 14th
That's what I said in the last cover art reveal blog: that the next one would complete the set. Which means that it's now time to talk about what that indicated.
Over the course of creating these covers, for the Mane Cast, Harwick has rendered 'verse versions of Twilight, Pinkie, Rarity, Applejack, and Fluttershy.
We're two short.
(Yes, I said 'two'. If you feel like contradicting that, kindly shaddap.)
So the first question which arose was 'Is there any single story which lets us get both at once?' And the answer was yes.
Of course, you have to put up with a bonus Flitter along the way. That's just half the price you pay.
The other half is the hangover.

Spike has had more focus than Applejack in canon, because AJ's character arc was already basically over before we ever met her.

I've always said that part of the reason both AJ and Spike gave the writers fits is that both of them are exactly where they want to be doing exactly what they want to do.
