Over the weekend, I discovered that I am really not good at writing Teen-rated sex scenes. Almost got me kicked out of a Discord server.
One of the comments was:
Couldn't you have them play video games together instead?
Video games and chill, folks. Sex exists, deal with it.
On the gaming side of things, it seems someone in Bethesda's Community Management Team thought it would be a good idea to start replying to negative user reviews of Starfield on Steam.
Most of the multi-paragraph replies are condescending, out-of-touch, and in a lot of cases just flat out wrong.
I'm wondering how long this is going to go on before Microsoft steps in and tells them to knock it the hell off. I can only assume someone is going to be beyond fired for this entertaining and embarrassing circus.
Like, what's the first rule of the Internet, Bethesda? That's right, don't feed the trolls. Somehow, you managed to do something worse; these aren't trolls, they're paying customers, and now the trolls smell the blood in the water, and now I'm sure Steam reviews are going to absolutely plummet.

You would think that Zenimax, the company that owns Bethesda, being comprised of almost entirely corporate lawyers would know how to handle PR stuff.
I'm not surprised, because gaming companies have been doing increasingly stupid shit for a while now.

Yeah, Teen rated sex scenes are hard. It's tricky to both give a description and be vague... There's authors on here who've done it though, a few have even pulled it off... to be fair usually they do so by either not having them actually do the act or keeping it super brief.
So I don't read a whole lot of your sex scenes. Sexcapades and whatever the Cupcakes alt storyline had, if anything (Oh right, and Zipp's "Oh Yes" Day Speaking of which, there are no stories on this site taking the monster mane episode from TYT and turning it into tentacle porn. It's not that I'm disappointed, but... I thought I knew this fandom.). So I have no idea what you would do for a "teen rated" sex scene. I mean, it can be done. You could write out scenes of the before and after. You could make it softcore, and I mean very, very softcore.
Or you could go metaphorical, where the characters are engaged in an activity like playing videogames, or competing in some sport. You know, heavy breathing, exertion, sweat, and something resembling pillow talk after they're done. But this avenue doesn't seem at all your style.

I tried it once before with a Tails x Cosmo piece, offered up T-rated and M-rated slices of the same chapter.
This time, when I realized my mistake, I didn't take the chapter down, I just bumped the rating.
