Hey everyone. It's time. After a year and a half of not penning a damn chapter, I took two full days to slam out one chapter of this fic. If you want a quick link to the chapter, here it is: link. I hope you all enjoy it.
Now, you're probably wondering why I'm back, and it's simple, really. Was just wanting to write something creative. My job has me writing technical documentation for the majority of it, and it gets tiring to write that same manual-esque guides that people will look at and be like "well at least I understood it" and move on with their day. While it's rewarding for me to write those because it helps people resolve their technical issues, I feel like I'm missing a part of me that wants to write for the fun of it. So instead of writing poetry or some free form fiction, I was talking to Nailah about writing and it just... clicked. So, here I am.
As for updating, I want to go back to that semi-regular upload schedule I had when I was grinding this story out, so expect more updates to come. Why Do You Speak My Language will be the primary focus, with A Slave's Freedom being second in line. So yeah, those who have A Slave's Freedom tagged will hopefully be excited to see that one update too (sometime in the future most likely before the end of 2023).
I'm really happy to be back and writing again. I got a clearer vision of what I want to write here and I'm estatic to be sharing it with all of you.
Wanted to give a friend of mine a signal boost in this blog as he is currently on the verge of becoming homeless.
