The author's note in the chapter says it all, but hell with it.

I'm still not sure I'll finish that beast, but tonight I finished a re-read of one of my favorite ponyfics of all time, The Maretian by Kris Overstreet, and I just... felt that need to play in the pony sandbox again. It's hard to capture that feeling, I have lots of other sandboxes I enjoy writing in these days, but something about reading a really fantastic story written with our favorite pastel horses made it happen.

Don't call it a comeback!
