About why my stories haven't been updating recently... · 12:13am Mar 24th, 2023
Okay, so, as some of you may recall, recently I overcame a bout of writer's block and started getting back into the swing of writing my stories here on fimfiction. I released the entire Generosity Arc of Little Kets, I posted up a new chapter of Rise and Shine, and then I got a start on the Tirek arc of Keys. And then I abruptly stopped despite saying I should be back on track. I would like to take a moment to explain why.
First off, it isn't writer's block this time. I am actually writing far more and far more frequently than I have in a long time. It's just that the words I am writing aren't for MLP fan fiction... or fan fiction for anything, really. I've been working on an original fantasy story, and I'm already a solid 18 chapters into the rough draft. For those of you who listened to Tika the Enchantress over here, the story I am working on now is set in the same world. I've really found my mojo working on this thing, and if all goes my way I might actually be able to publish it as a proper novel one day. And so I've been putting most of my attention into this original story. As you might have surmised, that means that I have had little time to work on my fanfictions.
My plan is to come back and resume work on my fanfics here once the rough draft is done. I will be sending said rough draft around to friends, family, and other assorted individuals to get feedback so I can make adjustments. I predict that the refining process will take longer, but won't require as much time in a given day. I may be wrong, but still, I should have time between editing sessions to focus back on Keys and Rise and Shine.
I just figured you all deserved an explanation for my silence lately. I am writing, trust me, and I will come back to my work here when I have the chance. Until then, thanks again for reading my stuff.

Cool to hear your writing more. I haven't looked into tika the enchantress yet simply because I have so much stuff in my read it later folder. I'm trying to go for the readings I have that are finished right now since so many of the stories i've read in the past have been canceled or put on years long holds.
Still love listening to your audio readings when I'm playing games that require little audio like rocket league or snow runner. Makes the day better after working all morning.
