HAZE after action report · 10:34pm Feb 23rd, 2023

After nearly a year of on and off production, Haze is finally complete! Massive thanks to everyone who checked it out and stuck with me for the ride. I'm grateful for how warmly it was received, and I'm equally grateful for all the feedback I got as well. Extra special shout-out to hehelover. The final product is much better off thanks to your diligent eye and helpful candor.

This story could not have wrapped at a better time. Tomorrow, I start the process of moving to a new apartment in Harlem. There are bathrooms to be scrubbed, floors to be swept, and weird pre-war building pipe sounds to be addressed. But that's tomorrow. Tonight, we party.

Second order of business! I've been thinking about adapting Haze as an audiobook. I've also been kicking around the idea of streaming the entire process, as both a way to get feedback for the piece while it's in production and to let any interested parties take a peak behind the curtain. Let me know if that sort of thing would interest you!

If you dig what I do and are looking for a way to show your support, consider giving to my ko-fi! I have a new one-shot coming out in ~two weeks (read: as soon as all my shit is moved in), so stay tuned!

Congrats!

I’m really surprised you specifically mentioned me here, I just thought the comments section needed a little more input, since there was not much going on there. Glad to have helped, still.

I may sometimes sound critical (especially towards a certain character) but this has been the story that intrigued me the most in recent months. I looked forward to every update and in the meantime dreaded what was to come. Whenever I noticed a chapter dropped I would read it all in one go right away. I think, in the end, that’s what really mattered: I truly enjoyed the story. That’s probably the one statement that creators want to hear from their audiences the most.

Wow congratulations! Your story looks very fascinating and I am looking forward to reading it. Because of IRL studying and that I am currently reading another story that also deserves more attention so it might take a while, but I will keep it on my mind until then.

Also it seems that mister hehelover helped polished the tale more by writing "strict" comments, that's quite impressive of him but not really surprising because he's also a respectable and diligent translator on the Chinese ponyfic website fimtale.com. kudos for his advice that made this story better for future readers.

And there will be audio reading for this? That's pretty cool! It's going to be quite helpful for people who wanted to read it but can't spare the time to look at so many words. Good luck!
