Dan and his friends have triumphed. In the face of overwhelming adversity and unparalleled danger, Dan has led his team of trusted allies, both Equestrian and not, through the massive conflict that has shaped them all and changed Equestria's future forever. Each of them faced personal challenges and struggles as a group, but through the trials they have emerged victorious. Whatever the future holds, they stand together now, stronger and more united than ever before... and this is only the beginning.
A new beginning which they worked hard to earn.
1. Dan the Heroic Jerk
Dan, a man many believed would be beyond any redemption, proved he deserved it by redeeming all of Equestria. He proved beyond any shadow of a doubt he had earned a second chance... because he gave it back. Though Dan has changed, at his core he remains largely the same person he has always been: a resourceful, crass and blunt man striving to make the world a better place(for himself, mostly but also others) through his own forceful guidance, by showing others a way to cut through the trivialities and pave the road to a brighter tomorrow not just with good intentions but practical means and materials on Earth and Equestria. He has not always been a good or virtuous man, but has done good and virtuous things when even the best would have faltered and failed.

In recognition for his deeds, Dan has been elevated to a position no other non-pony has ever achieved and been officially inducted into the Royal Family of Equestria. Dan is now an Equestrian Duke, second only to the princes and princesses in terms of authority, though there are many who regard Dan with more respect than even the princesses. Indeed, one of the reasons for his addition to the Royal Family was because of growing loyalty to Dan, though Dan's own loyalty to the princesses and especially his friend Twilight Sparkle is absolutely unquestioned.
The Royal Guard, whose job it is to protect Equestria, its ponies and its interests, are fiercely loyal to Dan for his steadfast commitment, understanding towards them and their position and his pragmatism. Dan's policy of placing security and safety over formality has caused many to view him as a crucial new element in the kingdom's workings, ensuring that things proceed smoothly regardless of diplomatic appearances. The princesses are the face and ideal of Equestria while Dan is the guy that keeps the lights on. No matter how threatening the darkness, Dan's commitment has ensured the light of Equestria keeps shining.
Dan now commands legions of his own followers in the Royal Guard and has increased their numbers. Many other prominent beings, ponies and non-ponies alike, come to Dan for advice and guidance. He is seen as a hero not just to ponies but to all who call this world their home and the respect and authority he now commands is undeniable. He has taken to the role with considerable ease as relishes the ability to assert himself or at the very least give his two bits' worth in any affair.
2. An Equestria United
The nations of the world of Equestria have come together like never before. Where they were once rivals, they are now full-fledged allies, united in the goal of preserving the New Harmony and working towards making Equestria an even better place. Trade, travel and commerce have all improved as the various countries embrace a renewed spirit of cooperation. It is a time of peace and growth.
The story of Dan and friends has spread and been embraced far and wide. Everywhere, folks are eager to contribute to Equestria's future. Dan is a hero to all and inspires a sense of hope in everyone.
Just north of Canterlot and across the plains, a new province of Equestria is being established. Called the Prosperity Frontier, the foundations of settlements are built, including a new castle, township and floating sky-city. Equestria's population is growing both with ponies and other beings, including a small number of humans who have made their way here through magical means.
Equestria is balanced as well as united, with new advances made in technology, medicine, magic and science. With Dan's leadership, progress has embraced a careful temperance, ensuring that tradition and well-being are upheld even as breakthroughs are made. New things are integrated seamlessly with society leading to all leading happier lives that still appear largely the same on the surface. Parades and parties are still held quite frequently and attendance has never been higher.
3. A Threat from across Time and Space
A powerful new enemy has emerged in the form of the Terran Empire. Linked to Equestria through mysterious means, the Terran Empire is a brutal, tyrannical dictatorship that seems to have done the impossible by conquering their own universe. Unsatisfied with just having conquered their own dimension, they have now set their sights on total conquest of existence with Equestria as their prime target. Their numbers and strength are only matched by their ruthlessness cruelty, suffering none who stand in their way of total control over everything.
Just as Equestria seems to have achieved a near-perfect harmony, the Terran Empire appears to have succeeded in total dominance. The mysterious Terrans now view Equestria as their biggest threat and a crucial goal in their campaign of conquest and are preparing a massive invasion force unlike anything ever before seen. It is unknown exactly why Equestria is seen as so vital and such a danger to their own existence, and speculation and theory abound. Only one thing is certain: they are coming and diplomacy is not an option. These ruthless, totalitarian conquerors will take nothing less than Equestria's unconditional surrender which will lead to its subjugation and destruction at the hands of the Imperial tyrants. Equestria's loss undoubtedly will mean not just the end of Equestria but the end of a free and prosperous existence everywhere.
The odds are overwhelmingly against Equestria. With Dan and friends leading them, however, they prepare to make their stand against the Terran invaders. One small planet against an entire universe. A small light shining... against an unending darkness.
4. The Defense of Equestria
Equestria's other-worldly allies are few in number but have pledged their defense of the planet. A plan of such has emerged from the mind of Dan to somehow turn back the tide and perhaps even defeat the Terran Empire, though the exact details are known only to him at this time. Equestria's moon has been chosen as the site of their stand with fortifications being built on and around its surface. The best, brightest and bravest from across the multiverse are being called upon to lend their aid, but only time will tell if their efforts will be enough.
What follows may be the ultimate battle, a historic clash between ideals like never before. Two entire existences against one another with the fate of everything hanging in the balance. Dan. Vs. Everything.
Dan has a chance if the Terran Empire hasnt been reading up on their EE Doc Smith, and havent prepped with a swarm of Negaspheres and antimatter worlds etc.
