I'm not even a parent and I can feel that mood.

In the summer of 1993, we had a period of exceptional rainfall.
My oldest was four.
We lived in a mobile home park with a grassy depression about twenty yards from the back door.
Frogs like to live in puddles. There were a lot of tree frogs that year for some reason.
He's in the Army now, deployed in Germany. I suspect he still likes playing in the mud and getting paid for it because of the pictures he sends back. Thankfully, I no longer have to turn the hose on him after playtime.
