Aquaman's post has probably been the most resonant with me, and that explains things well.
However, my friend Seer also put how I feel well, and I will echo his words.
Black lives matter.
All POC lives matter.
The lives of indigenous people matter.
Queer rights matter.
So, I thought I had everything set in stone, but I decided I wanted to switch things up a little bit at the last minute. While I finish writing this last little bit, there's going to be a slight delay until the end.
Shouldn't take more than a day or two, promise.
Know this will probably just be seen as bragging, but I was really happy when I saw it yesterday:
Was even more so this morning when I saw all three previous stories in popular for a bit.
Thank you all again, whether you're re-reading these because of the finale or reading it all for the first time.
Well, tentatively, at least. All except the epilogue is fully written. Most of that has had a first editing pass in the past, and I can probably manage the rest before it's actually supposed to be posted.
Still worrying about tripping at the finish line, but it is what it is. There's always the concern you can't do your ideas justice, but I hope that it doesn't ruin the horror of the previous parts by explaining things.
Sadly, it's not completely done like I wanted it to be by now, but it's getting there. Current word count is nearly 18k, and there will probably be a fair bit more once things are done. Don't think it will quite reach Pray, Hope and Wander's total count, but that's due to there being no journal this time.
