Rampant Productivity · 2:12am Apr 9th, 2020

Looking back over the past eight months is a bit of a trip for me.

For the longest time, I wasn't very productive. I didn't really make or do much of anything that had creativity involved with it. Back in 2011, just getting started with writing, I made a few things: a longfic that I wish I had never started, two horror fics, a sequel to the big one, some writeoff snippets that have never seen the light of day beyond that.

Then, it just stopped.

Cover Art Sans Title · 12:25pm Apr 2nd, 2020

In case anyone happens to want it, because I think it's a wonderful piece:

Koviry absolutely nailed the feeling I was hoping for: this sadness as the color and shape of Twilight's world slowly leaves it, while she tries to hide that it's happening at all. Also the color bleeding out of Rarity's cutie mark was like, actually perfect. I didn't even ask for that specifically.

I can't not post about this.

One of my favorite games (that I never got around to making a crossover fic with) has a crowdfunding campaign for a Switch (and more) remaster.

Merry Christmas and a Happy Jinglemas · 2:17pm Dec 25th, 2019

I know it's a bit late related to the rush of stories, but I wanted to make a quick blog post now that it's Christmas. I hope everyone reading enjoys their holidays, regardless of what they celebrate. I pray you'll all find the new year, and decade, a productive and enjoyable one.

Thank you to Flutterpriest for my Jinglemas gift. It was a nice bit of fluff for the fuffle.

Even More Readings · 8:42pm Nov 2nd, 2019

So that's a surprise to see while you're at a convention. I can't watch yet, but Scribbler did a full cast reading of A Fleeting Light in the Darkness and its sequel Glimmer of Hope in the Black.

Go, watch.

Headed to Ciderfest · 3:37pm Oct 30th, 2019

Only for one day, sadly, but I plan to be at Ponyville Ciderfest all day Saturday. I live just close enough to make the drive there and back. If I had thought ahead on how close it was, I probably would have tried to attend all the days, but I think it's better than nothing.

If anyone is going to be there, let me know and we can maybe meet up. I don't really know how big the writing presence is at non-Bronycon conventions.

Delays and Readings · 12:05am Oct 22nd, 2019

So, I do think I was a bit too ambitious about the possibility of getting three stories done for October. Sadly, Psychosomatic is gonna get pushed out a lot. I'll try and aim for some time in December, as I have an Imposing Sovereign entry to work on with the due date creeping ever closer.

It's October 1st somewhere in the world, and you know what that means!

Maybe too much · 2:37pm Sep 10th, 2019

So, taking a short break from the draft of the Fleeting Light finale to think on the ending, I started thinking about picking a story to do for October. I had two ideas and was close to getting it down to one. Then a speedwriting thing happened and the ideas were up to three. Then a rewrite of that happened quickly. Then both of the other two ideas seemed really good.

Basically, look forward to possibly three things for Spooktober. Titles are mostly a work in progress.
