When Princess Twilight Sparkle decides that a get away is in order for the six friends, they naturally jump on the idea. Encouraged by Princess Celestia, Twilight takes her friends to a distant location at the guidance of her mentor. However, the ponies find themselves on a path that is not the one the Princess had intended them to travel, and end up in a land that is much older and out of reach than any of them could have expected.

A primeval world populated by creatures not seen since ages long buried beneath the rock that makes the very skin of the world, the ponies must learn about this place, and most importantly, find their way back out. Soon they learn that while their modern Equestria has its share of villains, the ancient world sees no such thing as good or evil. Instead, the ancient world only knows 'survive'.

Their travels in this unseen land bring them new friends, and new dangers that they would have never expected to encounter, even in a land as full of mystery and variety as Equestria. This is the telling of the Six, and their travels through The Oldest Land.

Captain Silver Stern and his crew have cast out into the seas east of Equestria. Their vessel, the Luna's Hope, is an exploratory ship in search of new lands, new intelligent cultures, and a vigilant eye to look after their own. The seas of Equestria stretch far and wide, and many surprises rest far out in the lonely reaches of the vast ocean waves. Looking to the Princess of the Night for guidance, Captain Silver Stern will learn truths about some crew members he did not know, and perhaps his own past will be unfolded more than is expected. During their travels, the Luna's Hope is sure to uncover new and exciting things, and perhaps newfound additions to the crew will prove more profound a discovery than one would have expected.

In this alternate Equestria, a strange and surreal moment in pony history is unraveling. A part of a larger storyline (a larger project between myself and a friend/artistic partner), the installments here will be largely standalone, yet will still be segments of the Arcana Equestria storyline. As the mystical and unknowable events wear at Equestria, singular characters and embodiments begin to emerge and roam free, reflecting representations of concepts, characters, and possibilities from the Arcana of the Tarot.

Away from civilization in the San Palamino Desert, rests a grand and ancient landscape of mesas and cliffs. Here, in a place known to the Settler Ponies as "Pinto Mesa", a small settlement has begun a new life upon the edge of a river. Rare in the vast desert, the water proves invaluable to survival, and to profit. Between Buffalo and Pony, all manner of attitudes make themselves apparent. The only question that must be answered is; 'Can the friendship and brotherhood of the many emerge triumphant over the greed and power thirst of the few?'

The girls face old threats and new methods of madness, when a strange force pulls a new friend into their land. In a startling crossover, the Captain of the Starship Enterprise finds himself trying to adjust to a VERY different culture, while the residents of Ponyville try to understand his presence. When his presence coincides with a dangerous sign in Canterlot, Twilight and the Captain both begin to put the pieces together, and come to a realization. With little more than suspicion to go on, they seek their friends, and attempt to remedy the situation, despite strange obstacles and hidden information. While the Captain and his new friends struggle to confront their old enemy, he also seeks to find a way back to his ship. With his new friends, he may learn more than just a way home.

I started this fanfiction a while back, and long before I knew about the new "Keep Calm and Flutter On" episode; so keep in mind that this is to take place before the events of that episode.
