This is the kind of story I wish FIM covered, you did i great job with this.

One thing I've seen many stories like this get wrong is the perception that "as long as you stay positive things will eventually get better." I don't entirely agree with that line of thinking, when life unexpectedly knocks you on your flank and continues to relentlessly beat you into the curb, staying positive will only hurt more because your invalidating your feelings. An emotional release helps but it can perpetuate for years. In my case I haven't been able to cry for myself for a decade, and I'm wanting to.

The way you portrayed the characters is in my opinion accurate to the show. Rainbowdash going through the motions was incredibly well written and her breakdown was great very emotional. I also appreciate that you had links to works that inspired you that was nice. This is the kind of story I wish FIM covered, you did i great job with this.
