Every parent must deal with the growing up of their child. In Flamescar's case, this includes telling the pony he has raised as his own daughter about her origins.
Dragons and ponies haven't mixed well since the failed treaty hundreds of years in the past. However, she doesn't seem to see that way. So when three ponies show up at their cave, seeking shelter for the night, Flamescar hopes that his daughter will realize why they are so untrustworthy.
Suddenly, a chain of events occurs that will leave the lives of both the dragon and his daughter changed forever, with no sign of things going back to how they were.

Written for Equestria Daily's "Outside Insight" Writing Contest.

Fillydelphia University. A bright new semester begins, and a new collection of students comes with it. This is the story of ten girls. Ten girls with no knowledge of this strange place called "college," no knowledge of their new environment, and no knowledge of those around them.
Over the course of the year, they come to find that maybe those around them aren't as bad as they originally thought. With the pressure of success rising, they must choose whether or not they should cling to each other, or try to go through this time with nothing but themselves.

Rainbow Dash. She was on the weather team at age 18, the youngest member yet. She was loved by many for her dare-devilish stunts, her outgoing personality, and her acrobatic skill. One day, though, everything in her life changed and was shattered.
Vinyl Scratch. Due to being born a unicorn, and being born to pegasus parents, she was thrown out of her family and forced to grow up without parents. One day, a long-lost familiar face appears at her door.
When the two collide, everything is changed, and they enter in a gamble for fame, fortune, and friendship. If they win, they will forever be known as the greatest in Equestria. If they lose, then nopony will know them at all.

Pinkie Pie throws the best parties. Several of the biggest events in Ponyville, or even Equestria, have been planned by the pink pony. But then her parties take a turn for the worst. Drugs and alcohol get involved, and the one day she decides to step in, she is beaten back and put in a state of weakness and vulnerability.
While in her coma, Pinkie looks back on her life, realizing that her past wasn't anything special. It was merely a series of events that all played into her ultimate end, brought down upon her by her own friends. And she realizes then that there is nothing to rely on. No light, no dark. No hope, no fear. Nothing but the coldness of nothing, and the ice that forms where friendship used to be.

One-shot I made!

Niko Bellic. He was a well-known criminal in the underworld of Liberty City, but after he killed his crime bosses, he seemed to disappear entirely, only popping up here and there for a car theft or gunfight. He was the best of the best, so you can imagine his surprise when a bomb went off, and he sank to the bottom of the ocean, apparently drowning.
Or at least, he thought he had drowned.
When Princess Luna and Princess Celestia decide that they want to reform Niko so that he helps the world, they chose none-other than the Element of Laughter, Pinkie Pie, to do the job. While Niko tries to continue his normal life with the addition of this new companion, Pinkie shows Niko that there is something more powerful than money, crime, and death. Something that even he can muster up inside of him and use against his foes. If he survives the pony herself, that is.

Sun on the flowers. Warm muffins. The breeze on her face. Ditzy Doo, also known as Derpy Hooves, couldn't feel any happier at her retirement home. But her heart will always be with the Doctor. So on one of his daily visits, she decides that she wants to go on one more adventure with the stallion of her dreams. And when she leaves, there is an unspoken promise for the Doctor. That he will only have to wait for a little while. He must wait until they meet again.

The Battle of the Shadow Empire. Lasting only a few hours, this was the spot where the Elements of Harmony fell, giving their lives - along with the life of Celestia - to save the world. However, the Elements themselves wiped the mind of every pony in Equestria. None knew of the battle that took place.
However, when a dark-blue alicorn showed up in several towns, asking for certain ponies, some light dawns on the subject, the Elements are reborn, and the world hangs in the balance as six ponies must overcome rivalries and competitions to save Equestria and take up their roles as the new Elements of Harmony.
