So this past weekend I went to see Godzilla Minus One. It’s the first movie I’ve gone to watch in four years. For those of you not even aware this was a thing, have a trailer:
So now we’re in the second lull between holidays. The eternal struggle of trying to lose some of that Thanksgiving weight before Christmas and New Years comes around to destroy my scales again. Then comes 2024, where we’ll spend all year trying to undo the damage just for it to start over again next November.

Please, forgive any typos. I usually write the opening blog first thing Thursday morning and review it pre-post, but today I had a need to be in the office which kind of superseded my usual Thursday routine, and then I waited four hours as my car's state inspection turned into a whole lot more. So now I’m writing this up just before posting.
So I decided to mostly take a break from writing last month. I say “mostly” because even without having a particular goal in mind I still netted over 800 words/day just on little side projects that caught my attention throughout the month. Speaking of, I’ll be dropping a drabble anthology sometime in the next week I think, just because I have a few and there’s no point letting them sit around collecting dust in the GDoc servers. There’s only three stories in there at the moment, but who knows,
Hey folks! This week I decided to try planning things a bit, making it my Spooktober blog. Yeah, Halloween’s a good two weeks away, but if I waited to release two Thursdays from now it would be after Halloween. If there’s anything Paul hates, it’s being late.
“Well, Paul, why not just post the reviews on a Tuesday instead?”

Whelp, Jury Duty didn’t amount to much. We had 83 people in the pool and the attorneys couldn’t pick twelve jurors among them, so… yeah.
Huh. Is this what it feels like to have a flop? It’s a rather curious experience.
Not that I’m remotely surprised. I haven’t updated the No Heroes AU in years. And even if the latest addition To My Uncle is only 12.5k words long, I imagine most people will just walk away (or perhaps run) when they realize it’s at the tail end of a *does the math* 900k series. Even if I say “you don’t need to read it to get it”, that’s intimidating.
