Good news: The first draft of the new Guppy Love is complete! Now I’ve started the tedious work of going through it all over again. It took me a couple years (maybe three?) to finish the draft and I’m sure there are issues as a result. For the first blog of 2024, I feel like discussing a peculiar discovery I made. So my sister and niece were set to head back to Japan on Friday, yes? Since I live only twenty-five minutes from the airport and was heading home on the same day, I offered to simply take them with me. It proved a pleasant trip, with me getting a few hours of time to chat with my sister alone while Evy provided a bit of background entertainment.

A belated Merry Christmas and an early Happy New Year!

We’re going to be hosting a party at my parents’ place in a few hours. See, when my niece Evangeline had her birthday a couple months back, she couldn’t really have a party or anything. My dad, feeling that needed correcting, informed her that his birthday is on Christmas, so when she came to visit they could have a joint birthday party with all the cousins. And that’s today. She is appropriately excited.
