Death is not always the solution

Princess Cadence was attending one of the most important things in a day, which cannot be, and will not be skipped. She was the only Alicorn left after the royal sister’s disappearance, she had magic that was not matched to other unicorns. However, despite all that, what she was about to do required great magicka, and power. For long, Alicorns were known for their power to control celestial bodies, and she was certain that there was a chance that she could do it too. And it succeeded like her thought, but this task could not be done alone. She needed help from many. Also, it drained her stamina and magicka. Exhausting is understatement. Over the gigantic tower of the Castle, and between those two towers, there lies a massive hall that connected those, two. Huge columns of marbles sustained the high raised ceiling, and there were no wall to be seen. The place usually lies; empty, for it was used for sisters of heaven, and few royal servants, and nobles who were granted permission to access. These days however, it was crowded with ponies. Not just normal everyday ponies of the city or countryside, but unicorns with high scholar with magic academy for talented unicorns. And they were here for one purpose, to help Cadence. The unicorns stretched all the way to the other side, and it was long enough. They stood firm with their hooves towards the sun, and waited Princess Cadence to appear. She soon, appeared in rather stressed form, giving a frustrated frown.The headmaster of the school, Nexus Spell came forward and asked,
“You looked stressed, my princess. Are you alright?”
“Yes, I am alright Spell. I’m just worried, that’s all.”
“Why could that be, your highness? May I ask?”
“I am… worried about my aunts. Celestia and Luna, and as well as Twilight sparkle. I hope they are doing fine…”
Cadence gave out a sign.
“I am certain that they will soon return.”
Then there was a sorrow silence that loaded the hall. After that, Cadence said little jokingly,
“My little ponies, we can’t let our moon stuck between the mountains. Let’s get over with this.”
Ponies agreed and Cadence started to prepare her magic… Then… Something wonderful happened.

Tony’s ship.

“Lulu, why are you so quiet and sad in these days? If you just not answering me, then there is no way I can help you get through this, sister.”
Celestia said with deep truthful concern to Luna who was sitting on a carpet her head still pointing a same direction. However, there were no replies. Celestia gave out a tired and annoyed sigh, but she thought she wasn’t hopeless. Not yet. From Celestia’s view, Luna was lost. Broken... Her mind shattered and flying to different directions. The Luna she known for millions of years was not like this. She was joyful, interested in science and astronomy, sometimes timid, and shy, also, sometimes silly and cute. Celestia said,
“Luna, this is not my sister, the one I have known for so many years.”
Then there was Luna’s answer. It was almost like a whisper, but it was audible. And strangely she was speaking in modern language.
“Luna is dead.”
Those words… Only three words resonated Celestia’s mind and struck like a lightening, and thunder. It was truly heartbreaking. She was afraid.
“L..Luna?”
Luna then showed a weak smile to her sister.
“She is dead… I am just the remain of Nightmare Moon.”
Celestia feared her. She feared that she is going to lose her again. She thought, ‘N..Not like this…’
“Luna…What are you saying?”
Luna replied.
“No pony appreciates my night after all those thousand years of banishment. Nor me… Every pony still recognizes me as a monster. Now that I come to think of it, I don’t think immortality is worth it.”
Celestia’s words started to shake.
“L…Luna.. Don’t say those thing…”
Luna asked innocently,
“Sister? Do you know a way that I can make our ponies happy?”
Celestia just listened.

"My death."

Celestia cried after she heard those words. Twilight and Tony were heartbreaking after the scene. Celestia just simply lied on a bed she slept, and buried her face into the pillows. Weak weeping was clear outside of the room. Outside, Tony just nodded to Twilight in trust.
Twilight slowly walked into the room, not wanted to disrupt her princess. However, her hoof steps were loud.
“Twilight Sparkle… my beloved student!”
Celestia weakly exclaimed, and said,
“Come, Twilight.”
Twilight just nodded and walked to the bed, and sat next to the Princess. The Princess hugged her ever so tightly, and Twilight yelped for a second, but she also hugged her back. She saw Princess’s eye line faded, and melted, and ran down to her cheek. Her eyes were pink in blood. Twilight carefully asked,
“Are you okay, Princess?”
“Please, Twilight. No formalities.”
“Oh, I mean, Are you okay, pri-…Celestia?”
Celestia nuzzled her student slowly,
“I am afraid I am not.”
Twilight gave her a concerned look.
“What is it then?”
Celestia signed deeply.
“It’s about Luna.”
“What did she say?”
“I think… She is going to die.”

Tony’s weaponry.

“Tell me, Jarvis. So this is what thy call… Gun?”
Luna asked Jarvis curiously holding the human weapon.
“Yes, Princess. It is type of a gun, or more precisely, it is a pistol. Mr. Stark was the CEO of the Stark Industry, and he majorly made weapons. That is one of his creations. It has more firepower, and accuracy, than any other pistols in the world.”
Luna levitated and rotated the L shaped metallic object to see how it works.
“Pray tell, Doth thy know how this works?”
“Of Course I do, But It can be dangerous. Are you sure you want to do this?”
“My curiosity awaits.”
And… Luna was a fast learner.

BAM!!!!

Loud banging resonated through the ship, and gained attention to everyone in board. Tony and twilight, Celestia’s felt extreme nervousness, and fear running through their spine. They hope it was not what they expected. Jarvis quickly alerted,
“M..Mr.Stark!!! Princess Luna has…”
Tony cut him off and said,
“Jarvis, I can hear it too!”
Tony ran to the weaponry where he most of his creations before he became Ironman. As Tony lead their way, Twilight and Celestia galloped through the hallway. They hoped. They hoped Luna did not die. However, every time, they could feel cold sweat running down from their coat. Their face showed it all. Instead of pressing password on the glass screen, he punched it with his fist, and it shattered, and he quickly ran in, followed by Twilight and Celestia. And their most expected fear has come.

Luna jerked as she shot a bullet hit her head hard. She was bleeding, but not that much. However, the impact was great that she could feel her skull ringing. The pain was great, and it was not like she had experience in so many years. There were practically no weapons that can harm Alicorn, but this. It was powerful enough. Despite the pain, she did not scream, and just hold it back. But her face expression and her eyes did not lie. She bit her lips and felt tear rushing down like a stream, and her eyes shut tight. Her flowing mane and tail of night glowed little bit faded away again. She whimpered, trying to hold her tear back. Then she heard footsteps and hoofsteps coming closer and she again pointed the gun next to her head, and readied trigger. The black glass shattered and flied in all directions, leaving a fragments round the door. Tony and Twilight her sister was there, and their face showed total fear, and anger. Celestia yelled,
“Luna stop!”
Luna ignored and pulled the trigger.

BAM!!!

The gun’s muzzle was breathing a grey smoke, and fell onto the ground. Luna felt another bullet penetrating her skin, and blood thrusting out from her head; however, it also failed to cut through her skull and brain. This time, the pain was doubled, and Luna just collapsed, and yelled painfully. Tear burst out from her eyes, and after a sharp scream, she tried again to hold her pain, and tear. Twilight and Celestia were terribly horrified after the scene. For, Twilight, she have never seen a pony committing a suicide, and for Princess Celestia for watching her sister die painfully. Celestia quickly used her spell to knock the weapon out, but somehow she could not use her magic, and she noticed,
“What the--- L..Luna! Di…Did you set up anti-magic barrier?!”
Luna did not answered the question and started to rise again with her gun. She loosed her balanced for a moment, but she stood up again. She again shut her eyes, and readied her gun. This time, in her mouth. That caused extreme panic to everyone.
“Princess!! Don’t”
“Please don’t do this Luna!!!”
“I am begging you to stop, Princess!”
“Princess, Listen to me!!!”
“Luna, you don’t have to do this!!!”
“Your majesty!!! Stop!!!”
“You deserve better than this, Princess!!!”
“I am Begging you! WE ARE BEGGING YOU!!”

Four voices were all mixed and all Luna can hear was ‘stop’. She simply just couldn’t. After this, her eternal rest awaits. She did not wanted to end this now. It has to be done. Then, Tony walked to Luna with anger. Luna saw this and started to back step. Then Tony’s body started to glow again, and Bleeding Edge armor started to form around his body. Luna tried to pull the trigger, but she couldn’t somehow. Ironman ran to Luna and quickly snapped the gun before she could pull a trigger, and slammed Luna to the wall. Large bang echoed again though out the metal room. Tony yelled,
“ENOUGH!!!”

Luna struggled to get out from Ironman's grasp, but she couldn’t. He was too strong. He quickly inspected her bullet wound. Two bullet holes on her right side, both leaked quite amount of blood. Once grey blue coat that avatars vast cosmos, like a red nebula in the space, now was stained in dark red, and blood flowed like Victoria Waterfall. And inside, the skull was visible. It was also stained in blood, but he could see it was not a normal skull. It seemed to be transparent, but he was not able to see through, and he didn’t wanted to. Not wanting to see the disgusting scene any further, he quickly suppress the wound with his hand tightly to stop the blood, and Luna jolted a little in process. Tony was angry about her act. Even though she was the Princess, it was unacceptable.
“Luna! Never. Ever do something like that! You have no idea what you were doing!! Do you think death can solve problems?! No! It does not! It makes everything worse!”

Luna saw her surrounding, and she was met with enraged faces. Exactly four of them. Celestia came forward and said in anger rising,
“After this Luna, I’ll have a word with you!”

The great sun was hanging between the rocky mountain, and started to turn into bright orange. The Tony ship reflected the orange light and shinned. The reactor and engine lights between the metal pieces were also illuminated between them. On the ship’s biggest balcony, which located near the living room, Luna and Celestia stood there. Luna, her head was half wrapped up in white bandage, and it had little red dots of blood. Celestia could not perish the memory and thought about Luna. Although she was still angry about her, she did not wanted to punish her. If Luna suffered that much and concluded with a suicide act, she found no reason to. She needed to encourage her sister. Then the glass door behind them opened and Tony and Twilight joined. Celestia welcomed
“Good evening Tony,and Twilight.”
Then Celestia saw Tony had a trace of champagnes on his hand. Tony smiled and asked
“Champagne?”
Celestia of course, needed one.
“Yes, please.”
And She levitated a glass placed in front of her. Tony then asked to Luna.
“Princess Luna?”
There was no reply, but it looked like Luna avoided him a little. But then, Tony hung his arm on her shoulder and signed.
“How’s that wound treating you?”
Luna again blushed, this time a lot. She found kindness in his words, the words that cared about her, except her sister. Luna blushed even more when she thought about this. And Tony let out a sincere smile, and placed one next to her, and gave one to Twilight and held one for himself, and cheered,
“For Luna.”
Celestia smiled at this and joined
“For Luna.”
Twilight agreed.
“For Luna.”
And All three awaited for Luna, and finally she said,
“For…Myself.”

After few moments passed and Celestia said
“I think we haven’t raised our sun and moon for quite long time. Shall we?”
Luna nodded.
Then Tony asked, “Princess Luna, Can you make this night most beautiful?”
Luna was shocked at this and looked at Tony, and she quickly said,
“I…I thought nopony admitted my night!”
Tony chuckled and said, “I’m nopony, and there are a lot of ponies who loves your night. You just haven’t noticed them.”
Luna blushed again and asked quietly,
“B…But why?”
“It’s not for us. It’s for you. For your future.”
Luna could not help but gave out a small smile. This is probably the second time.
“Thanks.”
After her word, Celestia charged her horn and said,
“Ready, dear sister?”
Luna nodded just like before, and charged her horn also. Celestia grabbed her sun with her magic, and slowly dragged it under the mountain, and sky slowly got darkened. Once orange turned to violet. Once violet turned into black. Celestia said,
“It’s your turn, my dear sister”
Luna grabbed the moon and let it shine brightly, and enchanted to illuminate the sky in whitish blue color. Then, She spread her stars on to the heaven, and they sparkled like diamonds on a black drape. She also let further stars to shine brighter, and allowed to see the Milky Way spreading and running across the sky. Next, She charged her horn again for highlights. She shot her beam to the sky, and it exploded like a firework. Then all those started to form a green and blue glowing fabric in the sky. It created a perfect and most beautiful aurora that ever known. The aurora looked like someone threw a silk roll to the sky, and it illuminated the sky in dim green. Lakes far away reflected the light and shinned. Then finally, shooting stars. Blue..Red…Orange.. You name it. Celestia, Twilight, and Tony gazed upon the beauty of night and could not let their mouth hold in their socket. Twilight said,
“Princess, it is amazing!”
Luna smiled and said,
“I thank thee, Twilight.”
Luna was happy.

Canterlot castle

Princess Cadence and other ponies who were watching this were just amazed at the sight. Soon all the ponies in Canterlot, Fillydelphia, Manehattan, Trottingham, Ponyville, and every other cities and town folks came out and watched this glorious night. Now, Princess Cadence had hope. ‘This is a sign that they are coming back.’ She could not help but smile. Then she heard a masculine voice.The voice of her coltfriend. Shinning Armor galloped towards Cadence, and asked,
“What is going on?! Why everyone is panicking?!”
Then Cadence held her hoof to his mouth and gestured towards the sky. Shinning lost his words immediately.
“Wow…”
“Do you know what this means?” Asked Cadence with smile.
“What is that?”
She turned her head and faced Shinning armor, and said,
“They are coming back.”

(If you have noticed, Yes they are not married, yet )

Back in Tony’s ship.

“I believe that we have to go. Equestria won’t last any longer without us.”
Said Celestia. Tony signed, but he nodded,
“Yeah, You are the Princesses. You have too much work to do.”
Twilight joined,
“Same here, My friends must be worried about me as well.”
Tony had to agree. It was for their time to go back, and Tony could not say anything but goodbye. Celestia said,
“But we’ll try our best to visit you someday.”
Tony smiled and said,
“Same here.”
As they readied for themselves for departure, Luna stopped, and caused attention to her sister. Luna walked back to Tony and said, “Thanks, Tony. Tonight was the most pleasing night ever.”
Tony shrugged, “I just did what I have to do.”
However, Luna did not move and said, “Perhaps thou canst come with us to the castle.”
And looked to Celestia, “Is it alright sister?”

Celestia replied,
“Indeed.”
