William Tell No-verture
“This really don’t seem like a good idea.”
“C’mon AJ, you were totally awesome with that bow at the Friendship Games! And this is practically in your name!”
“My name’s Applejack, so I’m good at shootin’ apples off people’s heads? What in the heck kinda logic is that?”
“I trust you!”
“It don’t really matter if you trust me, what matters is if I trust me! You ain’t a target, Rainbow Dash; if I miss, that’d be bad.”
“Awww, you used to be fun. You know I can see in slow-motion, right? I’ll just zip away if it looks like you’re gonna miss!”
“Why do you even want me to do this, Rainbow Dash?”
“Cause it’s totally awesome and I really want to feel it when the arrow penetrates—”
Rainbow stopped when she saw Applejack’s eyes widen.
“I mean… cause it’s cool.”
“Dash, no.”
Hahahaha Oh, Dash, you big moron. I have to admit I never really considered Rainbow would see things in slow motion due to her speed, that seems very useful if she can control it.

I’m mainly basing that idea off of the “Run to Break Free” video, and also “ Constructive Criticism” where Rainbow has time to fully interpret and create a stage design based on Applejack’s vision board (and also read AJ’s diary) in seconds. It’s innately a geode power, as Pony Dash utterly fails at doing something similar when setting up the festival in The Movie.
I, as someone who likes flashfics, and has enjoyed reading EileenSaysHi's flashfics, think this anthology is a great convenience.
