2303326 The behaviorism of the guards are a little too unbelievable. Or we aren't shown why they behave in the manner that we're given. In the show, the guards are stoic, reacting very minimally except in the case of a perceived threat. Plus, it's just stupid to talk, bitch and complain in visual sight of your diarch. Stupid ponies do not good guards make. Is there a group of xenophobes that are fearful of a completely different species, being near to one of their sovereign rulers with an unknown danger factor and not knowing how these visitors may behave in times of extreme stress, anger, or fear? Do they react as they do, because they're jealous of these extraterrestrials spending a lot of time being intimate with their sovereign ruler of the night? Are they some manner of underground movement that is trying to depose the lunar diarch, and inserted agents within the guards to stir up malcontent and antagonism against the traitorous vessel which attempted to usher in eternal nighttime? While, I appreciate the induction of a source of problem, dilemma, or issue, to simply have the guards behave as they are, without any prior indication of insubordination or any backstory to them behaving as they do, makes this seem haphazardly thrown in there, instead of purposefully planned and intended, i.e., well crafted into the story.
