The Friendship Letter

Dear Princess Celestia,

Me and Spike finally managed to get Starlight out of hiding.
We had a very extensive talk with her, and I realized just how severely damaged she was.
She’s still undoubtably evil, and I would give her the rainbow laser treatment in the future, but she also seems to be emotionally broken. She was following me and Spike around like a lost puppy ever since we talked, and when she and my friends met again, the results were less than pleasant, and she went back into hiding after it, but she comes to us when we call her. I think hiding in the castle makes her feel safe in some strange way.

I can tell that helping Starlight will be a much harder task than reforming Discord, but I won’t give up. I will help her feel happy with herself and heal the wounds she has been carrying for years.

I will keep you updated about our progress, and hopefully she will send you her own friendship letter in the future.

Well that was a bust of a chapter. I was hoping we'd see the confrontation, and then Twilight's letter to Celestia as the final chapter.

I mean, is too much to ask for that? Obviously so.

Apparently, Starlight doesn't think so. She didn't do the whole song and dance number from the finale yet. She keeps running away and hiding.

Maybe it's just me. But it also sounded like she's still pissed off every time she sees the Mane 6 together. Starlight still has her head up her ass about this, it sounds like.

All that's really happened, it feels like, is that she and Twilight finally talked, and then Glim Glam undid all of the good by running and hiding like a coward again.

Yeah, well, she isn't going to be cured of her problems in a day, it takes time and even if it's just a step , it's a start.

That's not the case, as I mentioned, hiding in the castle makes her feel safe. She regrets what she did, she's still scared of confronting her problems, she still has the issue of Sunburst to deal with, but now she speaks about it instead of just keeping it to herself.
In fact, I think the only times in this entire story Glim Glam has been genuinely angry was when Twilight poisoned her, and the rats betrayed her.

I can understand if it's not the ending you wanted or expected, but she's just not ready for the song and dance yet.
