Jason was always kind of a loner, him moving to a new place was his way of trying to solidify his life. However, things change a lot more than he thought they would when he meets a pink girl in an alleyway who's more...'open' than anyone he's met.

Oh......shit O.O
Ha, called it on the cosplay.
Someone mentioned last chapter that magically seperating Pinkie and Diane would be the best option, but thinking about it, I think the opposite is true and the best outcome would be to rejoin them into one personality. On the mental side of things, Diane is Pinkie's coping method, so tearing her out of Pinkie's head could be a bad thing.
Maybe with her problems out in the open (since they'd probably have to let Sunset and the others in to pull off a magical split) she could get therapy and come up with a better way to deal with things, but it could just as easily lead to things starting all over with her developing a new coping personality or be unable to function at all.
On the relationship side of things, with a merge, everyone definitely wins, since if Pinkie and Diane were the same person mentally as well as physically then they both get Jason, and there's no more ethical dilemma about them having a physical relationship using Pinkie's body.
I hope they get merged. Pinkie needs Diane in order to be as stable as she is. I don't think either could function as a single person long term. They shouldn't be as seperate as they are now.

how would they? i'm not saying it's not possible, but they have physical changes when they switch such as color and the puffiness of their hair, so would they become a mix of that or would whichever personality is stronger show? personally i would prefer if they separated completely and became their own people. be twins that support each other rather than a mental block

One theory is that neither was supposed to exist. Perhaps she saw herself as Pinkamena and went as Pinkie as a nickname. Now if neither one was meant to be why would the colors of either specific one be the correct ones? Why would one dominate? If they merged both would experience the death of self while a new third personality would emerge.
My running theory is something happened to Pinkamena. Something bad enough (to her at least) to cause her mind to shatter with the two personalities being all that is left.

Something bad did happen, which was the break up between her and the other main six caused by Sunset. For someone like Pinkie who feels like her whole goal is to make people happy and have close friends, something like that where she felt like she messed up her closest friendships can be traumatizing.
That’s all I say on that.
That ending. Daaaaaamn!
I’m seriously concerned some is spying on me, because this is to damn accurate

Noice. I do like the slightly mentally unstable pinky pie. Really brings out the party happy dynamic more tbh despite the fact that I love characters with psychology issues both because of how interesting and compelling and sometimes how relatable they can be
That and they often have a fun unpredictability be it protagonist or antagonist
Great story so far! As much fun as 'psycho Pinkamena' can be, I'm glad you didn't take the typical yandere route most would.

I appreciate the praise! While my main series is Psycho Pinkamena, I genuinely wanted to try my hand at romance and sex just to see how it would go. Doing a romance story where the main character falls for a second personality seemed interesting, but, suffice to say, I did not expect it to be so well received and enjoyed.

Might want to consider taking a look at my men and monsters series then, it has exactly all of that.

Just a warning, it’s long and only gonna get longer, I’ve got a lot of plans for it.
You know, I think I'm an ancient being of long-forgotten elven ken and pace, as when I heard "character Pinkie can't cosplay, very unorthodox outfit, long straight pink hair, who popularized Anime", that supposedly suited Dianne, my thought was of Lucy/Nyu, the protagonist of Elfen Lied, who is a psychopathic killer stuck in a loving and innocent body that became how she is due to emotions unfairly foisted upon her by others, who has pink ramrod straight hair to her waist, and in her most iconic scene only wears an overstyled helmet and wires, a very odd choice of attire.
But I guess Lucy would be a bit too on-the-nose as a character for her to dress as, and while it is one of the most important anime in anime history that was key to popularizing the more adult anime genre, that was long, long ago. Saying Elfen Lied "popularized" it would be like saying Michael Jackson "popularized" pop music, instead of saying a more modern one. I admit I didn't even consider 02 as a candidate character that added any popularity to anime; to me, she came out nigh a decade after anime as a genre became pretty much "pop culture" and mainstream.
But I risk now sounding like EQG!Fluttershy in DWK's legit recaps. Don't worry, I'm not as far gone as her. Some Vtubers have done covers of the OP of Elfen Lied, "Lillium", in order to showcase their operatic range and vocal control while still being in weeb territory, it maintains relevence as a series even... 17 years later? Passingly makes me wonder what series from this coming winter season we'll remember in 2037.

I feel you my fellow, i thought about the same thing, ain't nobody remembering Elfenlied anymore these days.
ah the good old days, man we aren't old....no we are f*cking Ancient.
