All I got to say is, Oh Dear.
Well, this is going to get ugly. And I don't mean Mirror Match ugly.
Day by day
And next will probably be the other. Looking forward to more!
You stay safe too. Thanks for the great read.
Adam: "I don't feel comfortable doing this!"
Blake: "That sounds like a personal problem."
While I don't approve the behaviour that both Blake & Yang are projecting towards Adam, But I can't exactly blame them for someone who possesses the same face of their tormentor and caused them such suffering. I can only hope for both sides will learn, trust and fight alongside each other in the coming battles.
Now that Adam has the next volume of RWBY, I Wonder how he will react to the truth about the Origin of Ozpin/Ozma & Salem Or how Salem cannot be killed due to the curse of immortality cast by The God of Light of Remnant?

It is both gods that cursed her. This means that you can not use the creation item to make a weapon to kill her because it is from one god not two.
I can't wait when Adam will learn about Ozma, Gods manipulations, them being dicks and Salem
Let be honest here, Adam like most of the people would do the same thing for Penny just to save her as Salem did for Ozma
Also, gods had already resurrected 2 people here, so it's hypocritical for them to talk about balance, other crap, and their other excuses
I wonder how Adam will react to that Ozpin forced everyone into his war, painting them as targets by hiding relics where they live
Most of them don't know that they aren't fighting to death because of Salem wants to kill all humanity but because Ozpin threw them under the bus
People died and fought her because they thought that it was for survival, the only way, unenviable and not because they were a distraction to guard the relics
Think about Atlas
It was designed to fly, float by using relics power
They are the most fucked and forced to fight because they can't give it away because only a maiden can get it
Also, him not doing his job, which was to reunite humanity and "redeem" them
10235927
I honestly feel sorry for Salem, she just wanted her lover back and one god said no so she went to the other and he okay but then the brother said no again only getting the other to say no to her as well. And it only got worse from there.
10236269
Agree
Also, gods had already resurrected 2 people here, Ozma also died prematurely, so it's hypocritical for them to talk about balance, other crap, and their other excuses
Also in the show, I'm pretty sure Salem wants to use relics in some way to kill gods
I also think these gods will be some kind of final bosses, villains because Ozpin didn't reunite humanity and didn't give relics gifts to humanity
From wiki
The Relics are the physical manifestations of the four gifts to Humanity as bestowed by The Gods. These gifts are knowledge, creation, destruction and choice. The Relics were left behind when the two brothers abandoned Remnant. It is said that each contains great power, and if anyone were to wield all four they could change the world. In truth, bringing the four together will summon the God of Light and God of Darkness back to the world where they will pass judgment on Humanity. If the Human race has come to accept one another and learned to live in harmony, the Gods will live among them as before and make them whole with the ability to use magic again. If Humanity remains divided and demanding of them, however, the Gods will destroy Remnant and all its inhabitants.

That is a good point.
Also, personally I think the anger Ozpin got and the attempts to paint him as a bad guy kind of fall flat when he's doing everything he can to at least protect some of mankind in an unwinnable situation and seemed to have some good reasons to keep the secrets he did while clearly having regrets and not just being a cold manipulator.
10236612
He still painted people as Salem's targets by hiding relics under their homes or pushed them in the corner, just to make them fight while thinking they are a target and it's fighting for survival while it could have been avoided
10236356
I have to wonder if the "Gods" Adam already met aren't the same ones in the RWBY cannon. What if they're the two gods of Equestria and they're not bad like the ones in RWBY, and Adam just assumed they were the two gods from Remanent.

Locking the dangerous artifacts up in secure places does make sense, and if Beacon is any indication then the schools were actually somewhat distant from where any people would actually be living.
Anyways, I'm not saying he's perfect or didn't make plenty of mistakes. I just think the way everyone turned on him and show him nothing but anger and hostility comes off as unjustified in my eyes even if he is supposed to be a shady character. Everyone is just angry at him for keeping secrets about his past even though he gives an at least decent argument for why he did that as shown by Raven and Lionheart's actions.
I get that Ozpin isn't perfect or totally innocent, but the narrative just takes it too far in my opinion.
10236642
These places weren't much secure when people don't know why they have even attacked or what to defend
Also no one signed up for it
Ozpin by placing relics in places where they are, with a bunch of clueless, unprepared people, made it for them to fight to the death
Especially Atlas
10236652
Okay. I guess that's a fair perspective to have.
The only issue is that the show never brings up points like that and basically treats Ozpin as an awful person specifically for the things that do have reasonable explanations.
I just think the narrative falls flat a bit because they're like "Secrets are evil!" Especially since Ruby doesn't tell Ironwood the truth about Salem for the same sort of reasons Ozpin got punched for and that ended up being treated like the right choice overall it seems like since Ironwood sort of went off the deep end after learning the truth.
Also, they kind of did sign up to fight against the Grimm and protect humanity, which is all Ozpin originally wanted them to do.
I just personally think the whole thing could have been handled by the show better and that Ozpin doesn't come off looking nearly as bad as they clearly tried to make him seem when he actually had fairly reasonable reasons to keep secrets and not much else he could have done with his situation.
That's just me personally though.
Then Yang walks in half way and misuderstands the situation. Then Ruby has to stop her teammates from beating a man that wasn't supposed to fight to begin with. Then Weiss... I have not idea what she is going to do.
10235757
And not be conquered by our sorrows
10236269
I really do want to give Salem a hug.
10236740
The past can't hold us down
We must break free
10236612
To be fair though if he had come clean to the world about Salem and the relics he would have done his job. Think about it what better way to unite Humanity and the Faunus then giving them an enemy that wants to destroy both of them. AKA Salem and her grimm.
10237504
That is a bad idea and would have further divided them as countless people would either turn on everyone like Raven or join her out of fear like Lionheart.
I genuinely believe Ozpin was right to keep her existence secret and that telling the truth would lead to mass panic, criminals and lunatics eager to serve her for a chance to murder people, and hundreds or thousands turning on everyone else for self-preservation.
Also, humanity already has a publicly known enemy that wants nothing other than their total destruction and have still failed to unite against it.
10236639
What if they are two void dwellers that merely took those forms because they are fans of RWBY and when Penny and Pyrrha died they pulled a "Nope not happening" and sent them to Equestria
Also the writer basically confirmed that they are the gods of Remnant due to them referring to Penny and Pyrrha as "Their children"
10237511
I was more meaning way back before the Hunter academies were a thing. Back when Ozpin could just put on a magic show and have legions of followers.
Although I do see where you are coming from. I just think that things would be very different if everyone Knew 2 immortals were fighting and using them as pawns, plus that if they can't get their act together that two very powerful gods will come and murder them all.
10237519
It really is just such a huge and complicated issue that I don't think there really is any easy or truly right answer, even if it is easy to think of and talk about ways we think it should be done.
I won't deny that Ozpin has made plenty mistakes and failures, but I honestly pity the guy for everything that's been forced on his shoulders and can understand why he acts the way he does.
10237525
I think we can both agree that the Gods are the ones truly in the wrong as they are acting like spoiled children. Seriously the God of Light is an A***hole. He talks about balance yet created two Immortals. Salem by dropping her into his pool, and bringing Ozpin's soul back from the grave. Seriously Immortals simply existing screws over any sense of balance any universe had.
Not only that but is was confirmed by the RWBY writers that the gods had no part in creating the current humans and faunus of remnant. Which makes me ask the question, Who are they to judge a people that they had no hand in crafting. Sure they created the planet but they abandoned it
10237572
Agreed.
Abusive Precursors.
10237574
Someone call the Celestial Sapiens, I would like to report a plan to break the Multiversal preservation act.
If you don't know what I'm talking about it is from the show Ben 10. There is a race of Aliens called Celestial Sapiens that can easily create and destroy universes. So to prevent needless destruction they made the Multiversal Preservation act. And they'll drag anyone that breaks it into court
10237512
I'd like to believe that that was part of their act, or that they were referring to them as their adopted children. The two gods of Remnant didn't deserve those two perfect redheads, so the Equestrian gods adopted them.
10237572
Where was it confirmed that the gods had nothing to do with humanity's return?
Can you share a link or direct me to the source of that information?
10240967
I don't have a link but I've heard in multiple videos on YouTube that the Creators said that during an interview at comic con.
And I understand that that brings the validity of that statement into question, but considering in the show itself it was stated the Gods abandoned and left Remnant. So that combined with a good deal of evidence presented in the show pretty much confirms it, or at least heavily implies it. Although I will concede that there is also a lot of evidence of the God of Light meddling with the world after they abandoned it.
10239619
I like your idea better, heck even these gods being void dweller or other displaced is better then the actual Gods of Light and Darkness
10241064
My friend had the idea of the god of light having had a fail safe set in the world were if humanity destroyed itself or was destroyed by his brother or the Grimm that the world could sort of bring humanity back. Like the world itself functioned more as a storage container housing all the knowledge and information on humans and other creatures that it could function as a makeshift Noah's arc. But instead of actual people and animals it was more the preset knowledge of their existence and growth. Sort of like a computer's memory drive making copies. It also works as a excuse for where Faunus came from with the idea that as time went on the world sort of malfunctioned and mixed some human and animals together making faunus.
10235986
What about relic of destruction itself?
10236269
And do you know what's the worst part? She ended up becoming just like her Father.
