They really shouldn't have gotten their hopes up. I've seen some stories about people being sent to Equestria in their current or new form and the chances of them being sent back to their world is almost 0%. Plus it wasn't the princesses that summoned or brought them here, it was the gods of Remnant who sent them.

But like Adam said, they should enjoy the moment while they can.

I don't think that 'going back to Remnant' is an option. As already explainedd by Madara1442.

But I think there is more. For one, they died. That's like the final nail in the coffin of your personal history on the planet you died on. So I don't think that they are allowed to just return, that would make absolutely no sense. Many people died and still die day for day, heroes, hunters, huntresses, loving mothers (who knows what happened to Summer Rose, it was never said that they found a body to bury) etc. Why should these two get a special treatment and have the possibility to return whereas everybody else has to accept the loss of the ones they loved and held dear? Death is final, you can't just ignore it like it doesn't matter.

That being said, to my second point. The two creators of Remnant may have given these two a chance to live a new life, but I don't think they'll allow them to just go back, nor that they are the first. They are ancient godlike beings and might show compassion, but they don't violate the fundamental rules of creation.

And Remnant's history surely never covered a section that people pulled a Jesus every now and then.

As for Penny having a crush, maybe, on Adam is kind of adorable. Luna has competition now. The only thing that would make everything even funnier, or not, from Adam's POV, would be if Blake appeared there as well. Who knows, seeing her old flame acting heroic and kind may rekindle her feelings for him. And I am not sure if she really cares for: 'He's not YOUR Adam, Blake'.

Looking to the cake I suddenly get an idea. I grab Pyrrha and Penny and wave Pinkie over. I tell them the plan and the three females get mischievous smile on their faces.
“Okay. Everypony, step back!” I call out, all the ponies listening.
Pinkie goes to the cake and lifts it with seemingly no problem, Penny extends four of her swords and Pyrrha lights up her hands and levitates some metal platters. Pinkie suddenly throws the cake into the air, most of the ponies shouting in shock. While in the air Penny sends her swords at the cake and slice it into even pieces and Pyrrha sends the platters through the air and catching the peices of cake and places them on the tables next to the plates and forks.
Pinkie, Pyrrha and Penny walk forward and give a play like bow and the ponies come back to their senses and applaud the trio. After a laugh, those present at the party begin to eat some cake, finding it is a chocolate frosted, red velvet and vanilla filling cake.

i have to say i really have enjoyed this story so for i watch Rwby with a burning passion and it was really cool how other aspects of anime were incorporated into this i can relate very well to it being an Adam cosplayer myself its just fun to play an evil sword wielding badass sometimes then giving the MC pony magic is sweet

Actually, in the story My Family And Other Equestrians, another rift to Earth does open, but they decide it isn't worth it.
