Mirelurk Queens are about 20-30 feet tall, Leighla was also fed massive amount of Buffout for months, she tops out around 7 1/2 - 8ft in my mind, like an exceptionally large horse. Always staring down at people. She doesn't always stand up straight. To her back from off the ground~6ft.

As for the world-building, it needed to happen for these characters to exist and keep living their written lives. Plenty of stories place characters development on hold for various reasons, and there are people who get stuck in their routines without something to help kickstart that next phase of development. Treating your characters as living beings, that get up, go to work, eat, sleep, and grow every day, they're always moving and changing.

More along the lines of true ignorance, he's only been outside the Vault for a few days, he doesn't know how the new world works yet. Willingly trying to not get involved too heavily in the drama.

I don't need to write in any more races from Equestria than what's required for the story to make sense. If a dragon showed up now...what's the point? If a yak trekked in from parts unknown, why? What's their calling? What's their history? What's their driving urge to suddenly show up now? How did they get here? So..no. No unscripted appearances.

'Through the lips of his undies'
That's a new one for me. Where did you hear that one??

In relation to the gryphon appearance you were discussing with Animatorsnake I think it's not wanting you to write in other species just to have other species and more none of us were expecting to see anything outside of the three tribes as this was the ponies own little war why would there be gryphons and if there are gryphons who else did they drag into their war?

When you get to Nuka-World, in the Safari Adventure Zone. There's a Gene-Blender running overdrive on making GatorClaws.
It fits most in line with Fallout lore, and adding a touch of Equestrian lore is how I've been balancing out the rest of Fallout 4's story to fill in the gaps.
Nuka-World was always looking for ways to always draw new attractions, and according to the lore, the surviving Doctor Darren McDermot responsible for creating the hybrid Gator Claw. It's not that far of a stretch of imagination that he would be capable of creating a gryphon before combining crocodile, super mutant, and Deathclaw DNA. (Which is a whole other blend of more animals on top of that.)
A gryphon would be a stepping stone for McDermot, take eagle and lion...and viola. Gryphon attractions for the park, defense for the Safari Zone and protectors of Nuka-World. Creating a gryphon should be child's play in comparison to a Gatorclaw.
I'm not entirely sure how I should address the exact date these gryphons came to be (either before or after the Big War, undecided as of now) but there's a small colony there in Safari Zone, picking off lone Gatorclaws for food. My original story that I'm sticking to for now is that Leighla was one of the gryphons captured by the Pack, then sold off to a raider who resold her to Tommy Lonegran in the Combat Zone.

If the opportunity presents itself for other gryphons to appear on Earth, traveled from Equestria, or descendants of survivors of the Big War, I'll write them in. Otherwise, people are still living their lives unaware of the gryphon colony in Nuka-World. The same goes for any other creatures from Equestria.
Note this comment should have been posted prior to the most recent one but I thought I had already posted it and it got lost In my tabs.

What? WHAT?? The gryphons on earth were created there and didn't arrive with the equestrians?!?
>If the opportunity presents itself for other gryphons to appear on Earth, traveled from Equestria, or descendants of survivors of the Big War, I'll write them in.
IMHO them coming with the equestrians for an as yet unexplained reason brings up way less questions than "they were created by a mad scientist and just coincidentally happened to be as sapient as gryphons from equestria"
Like are they as sapient? Do they coincidentally happen to look identical to equestrian gryphons or have we just not run across anyone that's has also met an equestrian gryphon to know the difference.
How are they able to fly? The equestrian gryphons are speculated to be able to fly through innate magic since like the pegasi their wings aren't actually big enough for them to fly but one created from normal earth creatures would not have such an advantage.
Most straightforward explanation that route I suppose would be to say that they had a sample from an equestrian gryphon which would resolve all the other issues since they are equestrian gryphons just created here and possibly with a few modifications.
