Reading this chapter after it's been some time since I've written it, I was able to go back in to see what properly needed to be addressed.

After reworking the flow and structure of the chapter, it should read easier, rather than what was written down before, and be a little less random.

I flesh out more of the changeling's backstory in chapter 17. But, as to why the ponies get involved, the only way I could explain without giving away spoilers is to look at it logically.

If you're enemy is embedded with a foreign nation super power, on a distant planet, you should follow them. But, when you arrive, both countries are on the verge of war. You commit a small force to your new allies to show support, allowing you to operate within their borders, while sending diplomats to the Americans to act as a intermediary to broker peace between these two countries.

It's a hard political game to play, especially if both countries band together, ending war tensions, and then declare the Equestrians as a more terrifying alien superpower. It's balancing racism with intergalactic politics.

I will address Princess Celestia and the ponies role on Earth before the Great War in Chapter 66.

Y'know... I would have the thought the changelings would work with the Chinese, considering they rely on stealth, but maybe there's a better reason for them to side with America that I just don't see yet.

I’m wondering why Equestrian chose China? As to why I’m not wondering why the changelings chose America, it wouldn’t matter which side they chose as they’re race that absorbs information to better improve themselves in infiltrating.

America is better option due them just disguising as cute animals and be adored by the populace, though China not so much - cultural reasons - but why did Equestrian chose China instead of countering the changeling by exposing them to America?

Usually I can follow nonsensical plots pretty well, but this totally confused me. What was the deal with that flashback where Nate shot a pony and talked to a changeling? Later on when talking to Meathead he acted like this was his first time seeing an alien even though he saw one during the war? Wtf.

ok this chapter is just all over the place.
and i have never found a Deathclaw that is even 1/2 this strong not even the boss.
